Saw some video a couple of weeks ago of a bog standard conscript saying something along the lines of 'did you know that we have barrier troops? Now I do'. I do wonder about the demographics being pushed into this...People from say Odessa and Sumy regions are not the same as people from Lvov in terms of Ukranian nationalistic views. Are there any stats on who exactly is being fed into the grinder? Possible there's some clensing going on, but that's also fucking dangerous if it becomes too obvious and explodes.

That's a shit load of people for these host countries to deal with. The population of Slovakia is only 5 million for example. It sure as hell explains why realestate has shot through the roof and cost of living is skyrocketing when having this flood of people who are either not economically active, or competing with locals for jobs.

I've seen resentment expressed at conscription in Odessa but that its not done at this level in Lvov or Ivano-Frankovsk.

Both Russia and Ukraine have mandatory military service and deployment during war time. There's a long list of countries that have mandatory service is military, refusing to do just that results in prison time, that's nothing new even more so when Russia is feeding half million conscripts to Ukraine guns while Wagner group is trying and failing to capture territory.

Hell forgeiners up to age of 30 are eligible to get conscripted to Russian army.

Closest thing to nignogs in Russia are ethnic minorities like Chechens and others who were first ones during first wave of mobilization. Similar to soviet union who conscripted ethnic minorities to swarm Finnish defenses during World War 2. It's a time honored Russian tradition.

Have you noticed lack of such videos from Russia and unwillingness of Russian citizens either refusing to talk or making pro war statements on Russian television and YouTube channels? Government is watching.
