The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

It's legitimately very funny to watch them systemically remove any aspect that made the original game unique from other zombie apocalypse stories (specifically the fact that the cordyceps infection was airborne in nature) and leave it fairly generic. Oh no, the characters can't wear masks, because our audience is going to be made up of literal infants that will be confused when they don't see the main characters' faces oh wait they're there again, oh no they disappeared, where did they go?

The thing is about IRL cordyceps is that if an infected insect is taken away from the rest of the group before it dies it tends not to spread (provided it gets caught before going to spore). However, it can decimate entire colonies of insects. It's more likely to happen the more prosperous an insect population is, so it's sort of like a form of population control.

After the human population died down a bit the virus should have done so as well.
The main problem with most zombie scenarios is that it's very unlikely that any human being without higher brain functions would survive for more than a year. Like where would a horde get energy from after the initial infection wave? How would they protect themselves from hypothermia?

By the burning hatred they have for motherfucking JOEL I HATE YOU DAD....

Or are we not talking about Druckmann?

Most zombie media takes place shortly after the initial outbreak for this very reason, I think.

It's simply the hollywoodification process they put every video game through when making these adaptions. Remove everything that makes it unique and turn it into the most generic slop possible because we know better and video games are for retards. Happened to Uncharted, Halo, Resident Evil, this, etc.

It really sounds like they didn't want to draw comparisons between the IRL pandemic. I mean it makes sense to an extent.

I'd let it slide until we see the zombies in action, having them touch or use tendrils or needles to spread stuff may still work. They can bullshit it away with the IRL Cordyceps still because that fungus has evolved to have many variants of it. It's a more solid premises than what Jurassic Park had with it's understanding of how DNA worked. But Jurassic Park worked because in the end they just needed a layman explanation. And if they keep the zombie origins to that it should be fine.

Like most zombie shit the amount of zombies makes no sense at all in the setting. When you're in the snow and there are dozens of infected wandering around in snow gear so they don't freeze to death, like they wouldn't have all died from exposure after the first bad frost.

Like... is there any reason to raceswap Maria, Joel, and Sarah outside of woke brownie points? I mean notice how they're only doing this to white characters; you'd never see say a black character turned white.

We all know Sarah dies at the beginning and just exists to be the catalyst for Joel to bond with Ellie due to his loss.

In the grand scheme for everything it's very inconsequential of what Sarah looks like. Maria I don't think had any major scenes other than being Tommy's new wife after the dam power plant was secured. I think she was more or less a character that was more featured in the sequel if I'm remembering the order of events properly.

Literally all it is is "FUCK YOU WYPIPO, HOW YOU LIKE IT WHEN WE BLACKIFY YO ASS?! SHIEEEEET" They know white people won't dare fight back because they're scared of possibly being called rayciss and cancelled.

I'm still waiting for Drunkmann to add the obligatory Native American and Pacific Islander representation too...

The ads of HBO's TLOU are starting to spread all over big city I live in on billboards. There are 2 things I noticed:
  • No Cuckmann's name anywhere the board. Only HBO's + TLOU's logos and date the show will launch.
  • The board shows Ellie and Joel. Guess they knew blacked Sarah will not work outside USA as selling point.

It’s starting… getting ads for this crap multiple times a day on YouTube.
Wife told me at her workplace they have a radio running, and multiple times a day they had segments of the radio hosts making their ads for this show.
No mention at all that it’s based on videogames btw, they praise the story and characters and you totally should subscribe to HBO to watch this gem.

You know what? I don’t think I will.
Fuck cuckman and everything he writes.
