Most shameful game purchase

Finally some honest niggas admitting to their hentai purchases. I bought Nekopara. No bully pls. I have since learned the error of my ways. I bought both Huniepops, though, and don't regret shit. Those games are fun and have funny writing.

It's not entirely obvious in the game itself if you aren't a reading autistically like a breadtuber into it. At least one of the dev team is a dangerhair tranny and the entire plot is supposed to be some 2deep4u allegory for transitioning or somesuch nonsense.

Looking into it, I'm pretty sure the developer didn't troon until 2020, and decided to retcon the entire game with a DLC that turns the protagonist from a woman into an autogynephile.

Mighty Number 9. I even raised my amount for the Kickstarter from $20 to $40 at the at the last second to get the extra goodies like manual/artbook.

God that was a huge mistake. I don't think I even played 10 min when that piece of shit came out.

My most shameful is probably Gone Home.

The worst part is, there is a sliver of a good game buried somewhere deep down that could have existed if the devs weren't faggots.

The idea of someone going to visit family after a long time away and uncovering some mystery by solving puzzles around the house isn't an awful concept. Too bad the only mystery is that your sister is a dyke and ran away. If the game was made today she would've been a troop instead.

I have shameful hentai, I just didn't buy any of it.
Did get swept up by Venus Vacation, which is probably worse.
 
Prison Tycoon 3. Never got the damn thing to work.

And then there's Bleach: Dark Souls, which while works and plays well, is still an anime game.

I bought it a year ago as a big discount. I got to the Shinra HQ and have left it unfinished for several months, but I decided to put it to bed this coming weekend. It's got everything going for it with production value and I've been numb throughout it.
 
I think the most shameful purchase I ever made was when I bought Fallout 4 GOTY on the Windows store despite already owning it on Steam because I was being autistic about achievements.

I regretted it the moment the purchase went through and have NEVER bought a game on two PC platforms ever since. Since then I've ended up with hundreds of 'doubles' thanks to the Epic Games Store giveaways that I refuse to not just auto 'buy' because I figure in the future if ever Steam gets pozz'd at least I'll have some backup.

EDIT: Come to think of it, I also regret any Paradox DLC, not because of how I could have got it for free but because the entire Paradox model is one of the most cancerous models in gaming. We give companies shit for pushing half finished games out of the door and nickel and diming us with paid updates that fix it but turn a blind eye towards Paradox because muh niche historical autism simulators.
