I doubt this. Mandy has become a lot more passive as of late (particularly since the Vinny incident, but I won't dwell on that in risk of being a broken record). Like even in his reviews, his more snarky comparisons he would give have largely vanished. I feel he saw what was happening, knew it was a lost battle, and just looked the other way. As I said a few pages ago, he even unfollwed Shammy on Twitter (for context, everyone else he collabed with he follows)

I'm willing to believe it, just because this is the EXACT same shit that led Narcissa down his spiral. He lost his friend group of ten years, something that any person would be emotionally destroyed over. And then, whilst getting clean and in an attempt to try and placate some feelings, he did a one night stand and found himself sexually assaulted. With everything piled on, I don't think any person, regardless of mental state, would hold together very well.

I hate to sound like I'm siding with Avery, but it really doesn't take much to break a fragile person, and he was pretty emotionally fragile all things considered. What I'd be more curious to know is how his former friends are taking in this information.
