Who wants some retro machine gun action from 1991? If you say you don't you're a zoomer faggot that has their pronouns on a patch on their plate carrier.

Yeah, I've been disappointed by the lack of solid copper offerings on the market considering that they're far better than traditional projectiles at armor penetration, but I think there just isn't much demand for the vast majority of shooters. You might have an easier time handloading them, but my knowledge on handloading is pretty minimal. Alaskan Ballistics didn't do any deformation testing, but based on how hard the rounds were punching the vests, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some serious soft tissue damage or broken ribs from the m855 out of full pressure 22-250.Solid copper bullets do a wonder at being civilian grade armor penetrators (California doing something gay ended up actually being a positive). Issue is that most of them are cucked hard by the hunting boomers by having polymer tips and serious hollow points. SIG jewer copper elite and surplus M62a1's, and it's 5.56 equivalent, are the only solid coppers I know that aren't cucked. They won't punch through level 4 plates in one go but the amount of energy dumped with how far it does make it through will be enough to break a fuck ton of ribs and the chest bone if using .308 solid coppers.
Someone on /k/ made a guide on how to make tungsten core bullets at home a while back.Solid copper bullets do a wonder at being civilian grade armor penetrators (California doing something gay ended up actually being a positive). That's been known from the beginning and it seems it took quiet a while for anyone stepping up to prove the "trade secrets" were handed out.
GWACS/KE Arms polymer lower lawsuit update.
tl;dr; GWACS did not disclose that they've sent the "trade secrets" they're arguing about to random people over emails when asked in the past, there's now a pile of evidence of them doing exactly that and this evidence is admissible in court, which is not great when you've been persistently saying these things were secret and people shouldn't know about them.
"Armor piercing ammunition is defined as follows:Someone on /k/ made a guide on how to make tungsten core bullets at home a while back.
There's also the Dagny Dagger, which was supposed to come out at the end of the year, but obviously didn't.
Only Beryllium Copper is a prohibited material, regular copper is fine."Armor piercing ammunition is defined as follows:
“(i) a projectile or projectile core which may be used in a handgun and which is constructed entirely (excluding the presence of traces of other substances) from one or a combination of tungsten alloys, steel, iron, brass, bronze, beryllium copper, or depleted uranium; or (ii) a full jacketed projectile larger than .22 caliber designed and intended for use in a handgun and whose jacket has a weight of more than 25 percent of the total weight of the projectile."
Huh, by this definition, aren't many CNC copper projectile ammunition like Fort Scott Munitions TUI rounds, or the Lehigh Extreme Defenders/Penetrators, actually illegal? They're solid copper rounds, fired from a handgun, larger than .22 caliber. I'm a little surprised the ATF hasn't cracked down hard on those even though they're made in response to states banning hollow point rounds and lead cored hunting projectiles, seems like low hanging fruit for cunts always looking for more innocent people to jail.
Also thanks for the pdf, very interesting reading.
Yeah I would have thought the ATF would have cracked down by now. Got a box of Fort Scott for my SKS in 7.62x39mm for home defense. Any videos on Fort Scott, specifically the tumbling effects?Only Beryllium Copper is a prohibited material, regular copper is fine.
No it's because Beryllium Copper is incredibly hard and could probably be armor piercing. It's also very safe and is used to make non sparking tools all the time.I presume on the account of Beryllium is toxic AF if ingested or mishandled in any way?
You use an SKS for home defense? I only met one dude ever who had a home defense SKS.Yeah I would have thought the ATF would have cracked down by now. Got a box of Fort Scott for my SKS in 7.62x39mm for home defense. Any videos on Fort Scott, specifically the tumbling effects?
Yep. No I don't live in California lol, I'm just getting started out in life, and am very much planning on upgrading when possible. That said I got it for a good deal, know how to maintain it, and I like the asthetic. You use an SKS for home defense? I only met one dude ever who had a home defense SKS.
Technically only commercially pure copper is ok. Jacket material is usually a red brass alloy so that can’t be used either. However commercially pure copper is the softest material so it is likely what is in all the copper solids as it will perform the best in gel.Only Beryllium Copper is a prohibited material, regular copper is fine.
Good deal - run what you have until something better comes up. That said, ARs are nice in that you can buy them piecemeal and assemble them (bit by bit if needed) at home.Yep. Try to find some Wolf, Barnaul, or Tulammo brand soft point ammo, they're NASTY. Like, so nasty that I prefer 7.62x39 to 5.56 if I was forced to pick, nasty. They're harder to find with the ammo ban from Russia, but sgammo has some on sale right now in 124 grain and 154 grain, though only bulk. I can't speak for the S&B and PPU ones, but if they're anything like other copper jacketed, brass cased rounds then they won't have anything near the explosive effect. Also a lot more per round.Yep. Most copper rounds I've seen are lathed out of pure copper, and the deformation of the round testing (especially armor testing) seem to support that. If I see any Russian soft tips, I'll pick some up. A few stores in my area still have a steady stream of Russian brands of 7.62x39mm, but as FMJ, got a little over 300 rounds rn, mostly tulammo. Haven't fired any of it, ranges in my area don't like it, which I don't mind, I consider it a investment at this point. I'd just like any 7.62x39mm soft tips that are cheap and work.Try to find some Wolf, Barnaul, or Tulammo brand soft point ammo, they're NASTY. I love me some retro shooting videos. The one of police testing body armor by shooting a FAL at it whilst the other officer wore the fucking vest is a favorite. This is despite me being a zoomer faggot, but I don't have any patches on my plate carrier aside from the flag. Maybe I'll get one of those "I identify as an attack helicopter" patches or something similarly unfunny to throw on my range bag for as long as I could stand looking at it, however short that may be.Who wants some retro machine gun action from 1991?
