Looks like they're all scared shitless of Wagner. Their leader with the stylish mustache looks a little past his prime, too. Poor bastards.

Gotta hand it to France 24. Most of the pro-Ukie outlets just sit around in Kiev circle jerking.

Despite all the speculation, there hasn't been good, consistent evidence of him being ill. Yet he was meant to be dying a year ago - this wa always wishful thinking. Yet, the hypochondriac theory makes sense given e already this nigga paranoid and there is some evidence from time to time that he's getting medical help, despite appearing healthy for his age.

The MSM "We have an email from Dr. Hyde who says that Putin is dying from AIDS he got from buttsex with a transexual donkey" narrative is gay and lame, but he's 70. Things stop working when you're 70. He also grew up in the Soviet Union cancer or liver disease wouldnt' be unexpected.

But Putin, as Russia's strongman, would have a vested interest in keeping himself looking fit and strong, and hiding any conditions he might have.

Bakhmut by itself isn't even an important objective except its on the way to another railhub and the fact there is a massive force of Russians and holding them there keeps them tied up in unfavorable conditions (and the force is there because, presumably, Wagner gets a bonus for taking the town); If Russia takes Bakhmut and Ukraine gets Svatove, that's a trade any commander would make all day.
So, you're saying Bakhmut is just the outer defensive lines of an actual strategic target and Soledar is part of the outer defensive line of Bakhmut? And the Russians and vatniks are cheering about Soledar falling like they were the USA breaking the Westwall at Aachen?

Except it hasn't yet completely fallen and Ukraine successfully counterattacked according to that poster above me.
Even in America we have military clubs in high school with the ROTC program.
ROTC is college-level, you dumbass, and exists not to churn out grunts but officers. The military gives you a college scholarship, and you pay it off by spending a few years in uniform as a 2nd Lieutenant, gargling the balls of your superiors and pretending to give orders to SNCO's who have ten years in uniform. In short: the US military needs middle managers to deal with the absurd levels of bureaucracy it has. In wartime, such as oh, Vietnam, ROTC officers have the oh-so-enviable job of handling paperwork for frontline units and getting shot so the far more valuable platoon sergeant doesn't have his time wasted sitting at a desk or in a hospital bed, or worse, a grave.

Not that you're wrong about that high school stuff, but that's the JROTC, and if I was in high school around any of those dweebs marching around in uniform I'd laugh at them.

She looks like a North Korean General with all fancy shit on her, and I'd laugh my ass off if I ever saw her strutting around on campus thinking she was hot shit.

Oh sure, he could be diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer at any moment - but it's unlikely. Media reporting wants clicks, and a good news story about this evil cunt getting what he deserves has everyone interested.

Unfortunately, I doubt he's seriously ill. I personally don't believe there is anything in particular wrong with him beyond his old age. His paranoia leaks into this, gives people false hope and him lots of needless contact with health services.

You stupid faggot ROTC is high school level what the fuck are you smoking idiot?

This war will be a great example as to why militaries shouldn't throw shit away and just build a few tempature controlled bunkers and use some lower enlisted to guard it until needed. I'd imagine the UK could have flooded Ukraine with L1A1 rifles or the Sweedes could have dumped off S-tanks to good effect. If the Pedophile in office wasn't paid off with Chinese RMB I'd say it would be a smart idea to start dumping off surplus M1A1 tanks in Taiwan, South Korea, Australia and Japan while we have time to set up for the future.
They USED to do this.

But it's more profitable to sell off the weapons and order more.

There used to be bunker complexes scattered all over the US with hardware in it that could be brought back up to speed. During the 90's is when we decommissioned a lot of that shit.

There was a scandal in the mid to late 1990's where a surplus area in like New Mexico was light about 20 M1 Abrams with the old gun. The investigation never went anywhere though.

He's right. its JROTC in HS, but I'd rather have them run around looking like Best Korea's finest than joining the local gang or raping the homeroom teacher. Also he's being a dick by not just explaining the difference instead of also sperging about butterbars.

Why are you posting clearly doctored videos? those are all russian soldiers being portrayed as ukranian, the ukranian flags and nazi patches may have been added in photoshop, and the audio were they say they have commited war crimes was added later... I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few video shops in my time

On othe news, the ukranians continue to get cucked by the freedom blackouts :story:

I included Wikipedia links to ROTC and JROTC in my post and if you or he are too dumb to click on the bright green hyperlinks that's not my problem.

TL;DR: READ VATNIGGERS, READ!

Yet your hysterical rant about butterbars come off as if you would have given your left nut (or both, given current day) to be one, and your reply to my post saying you were right about JROTC makes me think I'm right.

Pretty much. Vatniggers looking for any bright spots after getting their shit pushed all the way in over the fall. And I mean sure, Wagner running PR ops in the town square of Soledar is not the direction you want to see things heading, but if Russia takes & holds Soledar, and doing that ties up enough Russian forces that Ukraine is able to get within heavy mortar range of the rail yards at Svatove... I can't think of any military commander who wouldn't take that trade in a heart beat.

Soledar gives them another angle to either go at Bakhmut or try to press on and threaten encirclement. Its certainly not nothing, but I don't know that I would have spent 6 months and tie down a division or two to do it. But Its Russia's only real significant gain since the initial invasion. Too bad it won't refloat the Moskva.

Supposedly the newer ones can survive 30mm. I'm going to guess however the asterisk on that is that it can survive 30mm with explosive reactive armor. Most of the 30mm cannons in theater though are 30mm autocannons...

Depends on if its A2 or A3. Just the base plate the A2 will defeat 30mm. The A3's base armor is tougher still and with reactive armor it can survive 76MM AP shells and newer* RPGs and ATMs.

But again, its not a tank, its a IFV. If it is getting shot at by heavy weapons you have already fucked up. The primary goal is to find targets and go get a grown up - I'm not sure how viable that will be for Ukraine. So my thought would be do the secondary mission, which is use the optics and gun to pound infantry positions beyond their ability to engage and move on before they can respond.
Or just do the natural slav thing, ignore strategy, see it has treads, and throw it into combat. Which ever.

* "Newer" as of the A3's introduction in 1998; so I wouldn't like its chances against the latest generation of Russian anti-tank missles.

Every time they demand more billions and more of our hardware, it just makes me pray harder Russia glasses Ukraine to rid us of these kikes.

A mixture of BRAC and and a shift to computers has made mothballing of past-prime systems no longer worth it (and Lockheed's profit reports, to be sure)

But keeping a supply of "just in case" is why the UK isn't parting with their 1980s kit, and why France is only cautiously parting with their emergecy supply of 70s vehicles like the AMX10.

But there's a bigger problem.
Let's a do theoretical with the M60 Tank. The M60 was still in use with marine armored divisions as of Iraq II. It was not state-of-the-art, but with bolt-on reactive armor and modern optics, it was good enough as second-line tank. The M60 in various incarnations is still in service around the world.

But here's the issue. The last M60 rolled off the line in 1983. that's almost 40 years ago. Spare parts continued for a while after that, but you need to not just source the tanks, you need to source trainers, and you need to source parts and ammo. You then need to ship that accross the sea, make deals to get that shit off loaded, transported to Ukraine... its hard.

This is why Poland or Lativa or w/e getting even a token force of 20 Abrams is huge. 20 tanks ain't really going to do shit, but it means that Lativian logistics are set to handle tanks, and there are Latvians who can train other Lativians on how to tank.

I think in this context the way I'd use it is kind of like a QRF vehicle but not in the traditional sense. For instance, if Russia were to launch an offensive, instead of directly confronting said offensive, I'd use it to slip behind the offensive and target support elements.

shit.PNG

I don't really see anyway they could directly take on most of the newer Russian vehicles like you said which means they should mostly try to kill soft targets. Not sure something like this would be viable for Ukraine though since it seems like most of their forces are conscripts now and this would require a fuck ton of coordination.
