I actually feel kinda bad for Donny.

He's obviously deeply unhappy and unfulfilled. The fact that he's still going after people who stopped giving a shit about him years ago indicates that they're really all he has. He obviously had a passion for the porn business, but couldn't be a part of it anymore after getting HIV. That must've sucked for him. Whether he actually is a closeted fag or not, he's obviously got a fuck-ton of deeply-rooted problems related to homosexuality that he should really get some help for.
