For fucks sake, this again. PPG are a same age sister team whose character designs are ment to emphasize that fact. They aren't ment to be stand alone characters, they are very much a team first and then individual personalities in that team. They have personality differences but everything else equal because that allows those personality differences to shine in their wacky over the top world and short stand alone episodes. They are deliberately identical looking outside of hair and eye color, not following that always makes the redesigns to fall pretty flat because it misses the point of PPG.
These would be perfectly fine as ocs "based" on the characteristics of the originals and not redesigns as they completely fail at telling the story the others told at a glance.
This shit is always fun to me because most of these would be pretty cool designs for OCs imo. It's literally just tying these ro existing characters that ruins it for me.
That’s a recurring theme, there are some positive attributes to some of these designs, they look professionally drawn and are relatively easy on the eyes, it’s just they are associated with TPPG and having such distinct designs does not fit this type of art.
