Can anyone at least explain what was wrong about any of the Jenny streams? Like you’re using a lot of words but I’m not getting a single reason why the contents of the coverage was inaccurate or whatever. There’s a bunch of people in this thread who have at least made counters to mauler etc, which is why it’s sad to see so little effort put forth into actually forming a cogent rebuttal.
There are still plenty of good stuff out there. They just tend to lean more towards indie and foreign. Problem is that the likes of the Fandom Menace don't want to engage in quality content. They will complain about having to read subtitles in foreign films, that indie and foreign comics don't have the cool superheroes that American mainstream comics have, that indie and foreign films and games aren't as big budgeted or flashy as Hollywood or AAA goyslop. These people just want to consume goyslop and bitch and complain because they have made a lot of money grifting from disillusioned nerds.
It's just a reflex, it happens with a lot of lolcows. Now that the EFAP crew have fallen mostly out of favor, their opinions are cringe and the opposite position is taken up almost automatically by a few. Mauler and co being gay retards does not make Jenny Nicholson, Hbomberguy, Moviebob, or any of the other faggots they've beefed, with not dumb gay retards. EFAP not liking the Disney MCU goyslop they exclusively watch does not make it actually fine cinema (just a hypothetical, I don't think anyone has actually argued this ITT).
There are some truly great films/media they are missing out on because of their idiotic complaining such as subtitles. Lot of great action films have subtitles. Stick them out and you would be rewarded.

Disliking subtitles is a very dumb take overall, but non-english speaking countries have just sort of grown up with that so they don't even register. Having said that, I get how some people that aren't used to subs can find it distracting.
Subs are generally very good, but I'll always be gunning for a great dub. The people who think the Samurai Champloo sub is leagues better than the dub are the essence of weeb.
The Banshees of Inisherin, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (Netflix, more stop motion goodness), Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (I really don’t like the first one but the sequel is surprisingly good especially the art style), Severance (apple tv series but it’s like actually god tier), Matilda the Musical (Netflix), The White Lotus (HBO max), and The Rehearsal (new Nathan Fielder show on HBO max similar to Nathan For You but like twice as meta and it’s actually gold).
That's the thing I am a non-native speaker. I learnt English and prefer to watch without subtitles cause I just can't get over them, I think it varies from person to person. I am not saying they are universally distracting but some people definetly struggle. I either look at the screen or look at the subs, my simple monkey brain can't do both at once.

Up until that point, EFAP constantly targeted low-hanging fruit which typically consisted of people more retarded than them with significantly smaller follwing. The Jenny streams were the first time they targeted somone with a larger following which resulted in the EFAP gang realizing
