Good on him for his take on Lincoln, even if he doesn't quite reach the (IMO) fact that the Confederacy was right. He even mentions the Confederate politicians who supported keeping slavery and not eventually abolishing it were a Whig minority, but goes on to act like all of them shared that view.

Slavery was going nowhere. the invention of the cotton gin made slavery immensely profitable in the extreme, and though most confederates probably knew slavery would go away at some point, they were not going to rush it.
And thats assuming a hypothetical confederate victory wouldn't straight up embolden them, as there were a solid number of confederates who wanted to build nothing short of a slavery based empire.

Watched it while playing Tactics Ogre, god damnit I feel like I'm shit at that game.
Anyways, as someone who has only basic knowledge of American history, it felt a lot like the rants you'd see on the Holocaust denial thread that are just a huge stream of random "facts" and anecdotes from that time that doesn't have any structure to make an impact even if they were true, including talking about completely different characters from that age despite them not being the main topic. It's just a mess that makes me wonder why it took some time when it isn't edited at all and is just rambling.
The main points (besides "tall hat man bad") are:
1. Lincoln took way too much freedoms during the war, which is debatable considering what was at stake.
2. The Union's actions during the war were brutal. Not really connected to Lincoln directly and it's very hard to start replacing military men midwar (not to mention even getting correct intel, especially in that time).
3. The whole war could have been avoided if Lincoln would have done things differently, a notion that is true for nearly every conflict in history.
In my opinion, calling Lincoln a Dictator is very dishonest when the guy had to be re-elected during the war and died before his second term was up.
You know, putting it to writing, it's amazing how you could replace Lincoln with Zelensky and Civil War with the War in Ukraine and it's nearly one to one with the every argument that's routinely touted in that gay Happening thread.

This son of a bitch didn't read Civil War history, he read Civil War fanfiction.
Lincoln's main position of restricting slavery to the South and keeping it from the western states was due to the Republicans wanting to give more jobs to white American citizens. It wasn't about oppressing or taxing the South; Lincoln even made it clear that he'd be perfectly fine if the South kept slavery, and he didn't give a shit about taxing the South, so long as they remained loyal. The problem was that the South was autistic when it came to slavery because it was a massive source of wealth, to the point where they had to justify it to themselves by convincing themselves that the negro was a lesser human being and that slavery was a gift for them. All in the name of keeping slavery because it gave them huge windfall profits.
Also, America wasn't against the idea of kings. Some wanted Washington to be a king, and Hamilton even proposed getting a prince from Europe to become their king. It's just that they eventually decided on a Republic because they were big fans of Machiavelli's writings which promoted the virtues of republics over kingdoms. But even the other European Enlightenment folks wanted a strong king to work the state effectively and stamp out superstition and oppression, which explains why Voltaire had correspondences with Frederick the Great and Catherine the Great.
Lincoln, as I said before, was a necessary evil that kept the Union together at a time when it could've been torn apart. The fact that Danny-boy thinks that a government can run on local states' rights proves that he never studied the history of Weatern civilization. The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Holy Roman Empire became jokes due to the fact that they couldn't centralize and work properly as nation-states, with their local princes making it more of an oligarchy than an actual country. If the South won (or if McClellan defeated Lincoln in the election and made peace with the South) the Southern states would've eventually torn each other apart due to local state governments keking the shit out of Richmond until its rule extends to only Virginia.
The South had the potential to have a better military state than the North; most of the nation's veteran soldiers joined the South, its president was Jefferson Davis, a soldier who wanted to be a general instead of a politician, but the problem was that he couldn't get enough men for the front because the Southern states feared Richmond as much as they feared DC. That, and they wanted to keep enough soldiers at home to prevent full-blown slave riots. That's why they didn't fully support the Confederate war effort, while Lincoln had the full support of the North, which meant that he had endless supplies and manpower to bear upon the South. The South literally died of states' rights.
If there was no war to unite them in a common cause, the Southern states would become independent nations that would fight with each other over turf, bragging rights, and slaves. Either that, or it becomes a plutocracy where plantation families rule and everyone else drools. Slaves will remain slaves, while poor whites will have few opportunities to advance. The death of slavery helped poor whites in the South just as much as it helped blacks, because now there were more jobs available for them, other than being cannon fodder for rich assholes.
Speaking of which, slavery would've never died without the North's help. The first thing the South did when they seceded was guarantee slavery as a permanent right in their new constitution. That, and the Radical Republicans were the ones who called for an end to slavery, especially since unlike most Republicans, they actually cared for blacks, and it was their influence that led Lincoln to outlaw slavery in the rebel states, and eventually get the Union to outlaw slavery overall.
So once again, Lincoln was in the right through and through. He's the American equivalent of Emperor Aurelian and Cato the Elder. And without him, the USA would've eventually fallen apart the way the Holy Roman Empire and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth did; ruled by local politicians that are easily influenced by foreign powers.
I can't wait until a Civil War expert tears Danny-boy's video apart.

Let's be honest Ben Shapiro and Glenn Beck want to make the GOP out to the be the party of multi cultualism and diversity while the DNC is the party of trans rights and money laundering.
But Danny was always a Goldwater Republican and if you do think about some myths told. One was that desegregation was a totally Peaceful affair and we never had US soldiers with bayonets aimed at civilians used to enforce school integration.
