All I can say is as someone who married abroad her story is absolute bollocks. Our visa stuff took 6 months and that was in the USA and that was fast. I have heard stories from other friends in the states it took one couple 2 years for a K-1. I know Canada's is really lengthy with UK and Europe equally as lengthy.

As a foreigner and an electric rat I’m not accustomed to thinking in ‘elbees’ so I’ve been converting some of the figures thrown about on here into language I can more easily understand:

1lb = 0.4kg = 0.07stone
40lbs = 18kg = 2.8stone
80lbs = 36kg = 5.7stone
100lbs = 45kg = 7stone

Do we really think she’s gained 80 to 100lbs? In 2 months? Is that even physically possible?

No I don’t believe she has gained that much weight. Her TDE is probably 4000 calories she would have to be eating another 3500 on top of that and doing zero movement. That’s gaining weight at a pound a day. Highly unlikely.
I can easily believe 20-30 pounds though for sure.

I don't believe she has gained 80 - 100 lbs either, even though several people have speculated she has. Like @Clusterfuckk2, I believe the number is closer to 20 - 30 (9-14 kg). We'll never know for sure because Chantal often lies about her weight.

Is it possible to gain 80 - 100 lbs in 2-3 months? Absolutely. We've seen it happen on "My 600 Pound Life" and "The Biggest Loser." That's typically the circumstances under which such rapid weight gain occurs, i.e., a morbidly obese person goes on a strict low-calorie diet, quickly loses a buttload of weight, goes off the diet, and then rapidly gains the weight back.

I used to work with clients with Prader-Willi syndrome, all of whom had lost 100-200 lbs while living in a group home with a strict dietary regimen. Occasionally one of them would go to a relative's house for a visit, and almost always come back 18-20 pounds (8-9 kg) heavier -- in one weekend.

But that's not Chantal's situation. She hasn't rapidly lost any weight, so the chances of her packing on 30-40 pounds (14-18 kg) a month is highly unlikely. I also think that the inability to swill down alcohol and drugs at will has increased her appetite, similar to the way many smokers gain weight when they quit smoking. She eats a ginormous amount of food anyway, but those drug and alcohol cravings probably have her feeling even more like a bottomless pit. So yeah, she's fatter than when she arrived in Kuwait. We just don't know how much.

I have a friend who wants to immigrate to the US from Canada. He has an American immigration lawyer who charges $600/hr. And one 5 minute phone call is considered one hour. Now granted that's American and not Canadian but I can't imagine the price is all that different. She's not hiring no lawyer.
