To no one's surprise, the interview is off. Apparently, Phil "feels he’s changed" and the interview isn’t needed anymore. It will in turn "just ruin a good thing" if he went through with it. He might consider it again if "things change".

Translation: he couldn't find anyone with enough clout and is dumb enough to allow him to control the narrative with softball questions.

In this video it's somewhat explained:

From what I can gather and besides monetization on YT-shorts, Youtube now reserves the right to "charge back or offset such amounts (Partner earnings) against future Partner Earnings payable to you " (capture of that at 1:08 in video above), when a breach of Terms has occured, or anything that violates their monetization policies.

Language is kind of vague and open for exploits, so I'm not sure how it will go. But "in theory", if the above happens in one of his videos, DSP will get a chargeback from Youtube on the video's earned amount, or if cannot be done, future earnings will have that amount substracted.

Unsure if this affects old videos (it should, as it's phrased), and also YT may do. They're also garbage at enforcing their rules, but in the unlikely event everything goes down in flames (to the delight of Twitch), I'll have a glass of orange juice on hand, take out the deck chair and have the sunglasses ready.

Hopefully things get spicy, there's nothing like Youtube/Twitch shooting themselves in the groin.

Given how little he brings up his parents and his communication with them (Blowing off his dad's emails for example because he is too busy) I really hope they've written him off as a lost cause. The amount of cope and seethe Phil will have if they've written him off the will and leave everything to his supposedly drug-addicted cousin who disappeared in Mexico as a drug mule without a trace, yes that is something Phil said, would be golden. Phil absolutely hates his cousin for no reason other than she was raised within the Burnell household and took attention away from him.
