Well, I saw CG as the canary in the coal mine. When the normies still had the mainline heroes in their cape movies like Iron Man and Captain America, CG was suffering through America Chavez and Riri Williams and Carl Manvers and Lady Thor and Captain America was secretly a Nazi all along. Well, in the current phase of cape movies, all these things are being introduced (except for Captain America being a Nazi, but he has bowed out). I think the slow death of these franchises was a foregone conclusion because of the people in charge; there was no stopping it, but the CG people can tell the normies that "we told you so" as they witness the destruction wrought by the current regime. Then when the pendulum swings back (as it eventually does), we can be united when something new rises from the ashes.

CG was never going to save the world, but it was a warning. The time for warnings has passed.

He was 100% wrong for quitting the Waid suit. I told him then that it would spell disaster for his career in Comics let alone ComicsGate. It was the worst possible decision, like deliberately crashing your plane.

And I agree. He should have seen it through, even if he lost.

Not being a lawyer myself, it sure does sound like cope, especially if he still had some of his war chest to work with.

He never told me what his lawyers were telling him, and there's likely more to this situation than we know. But it's odd that they'd lead him along for a year and a half into a suit only to counsel him that it's hopeless and he should quit. Does that make sense? Even if they thought it was a loser case, why not continue to milk it for more cash?

But then again, he didn't have much money left as we now know. From my perspective back then, I wasn't anxious to ask for more cash, but I think we could have raised another $50,000 or so, had Zack asked. Maintaining enthusiasm for the lawsuit was easy at first, but these things drag out, and when there's no quick dopamine pay off with any kind of win, people lose interest in contributing to it.

I'm a year and a half into this lawsuit with Poulter, and just recently counter sued him, and it's expensive and time consuming. I've learned a lot of lessons from watching Zack's failure, though.

Frog gets shit on here all the time. It just so happens that over the years, the vast majority of his A Logs make the mistake of going after him way too often and end up getting dunked on by him. Thus providing the rest of us laughs at the A Log’s expense.

As for the microperforated covers? No one here really cares about that as most Of us who actually bought the book are only going to read it once and then store it away with the rest of the comics. Unless, the book falls apart in our hands as we are reading it, it’s not really that big of an issue,

I dunno. I'm increasingly of the opinion that at this point anybody who signs up for any comicsgate project (@FROG 's or not) should damn well be aware they'll get it when they get it, and not a moment before. Caveat emptor/caveat lector. The failure to meet any and all dates is so thorough, so egregious and of such long-standing in CG that I just roll my eyes at people bitching about it. Fool me once, etc.

I'm honestly not sure why everyone just doesn't wait until the project goes to "in demand" at this point. It isn't like you'll be getting the book much later than the shlubs who paid in shekels two years earlier if you buy it going that route. Maybe you won't get three stickers or something really exciting like that (oh no!), but you'll also have had use of your funds for literally years longer.
