I think Bob's misunderstanding phytoestrogens, himself. The fact that phytoestrogens exist, in plants, is to give plants a defense by making the consumers of said plants less fertile. They can mimic estrogen and also act as an antagonist to estrogen. Despite the fact that phytoestrogens aren't true estrogens and don't entirely act like them, the fact is phytoestrogens can still fuck things up for people. They don't think soy can fuck things up for male reproduction - its sole focus seems to be female fertility and how to fuck with that - and research is conflicting on what exactly phytoestrogens would or could do to males. But regardless of whether it could fuck with sperm counts and T levels or not, I would venture to say at the very least it might change how males process FAT. Aaaaaaaaaaand that's how you get manboobs.
