intellectually stunted lectures
She’s just moving the goalposts, because she cannot be wrong. She was first discussing the treatment of women in Afghanistan, and then when confronted with a true argument, swerved into an argument about mass shootings. What's disgusting is her head up her arse.
18,597 men were murdered in the US in 2022.
2.997 women is what Polissa is reporting - not sure if that's for 2021 or 2022. I couldn't verify that in a very quick search.
And yes, there are roughly 2 incidences of mass shooting per day - give or take. War? Ideology? Most mass shooting are carried out by fruitcakes, not people worried about how 'women look & present'.
Polissa suddenly wake up to this & decide everyone ELSE has their heads in the sand? What is the point she's trying to make here?
Also, she's dumb enough that she probably thinks that if she doesn't write it, it's easier for her to deny having said it. It doesn't really work that way any more, what with the ubiquity of recording and archiving software, but I could see her thinking that writing something that was later proven false was somehow more "real" than just saying it.It would explain why she always makes videos to reply to comments on TikTok. She’s more (undeservedly) confident about her speaking skills than her writing skills.
At all times when the House is seated, proper attire for gentlemen shall be business attire, including coat, tie, dress trousers, and dress shoes or boots. Proper attire for women shall be dresses or skirts or slacks worn with a blazer or sweater and appropriate dress shoes or boots.

It's also one of those signs of having little to no experience with jobs. Most jobs have some level of dress code - people aren't usually going to the office in cocktail clothing, any more than they're showing up in their jammies. It's not a "uniform" to require a level of professionalism from people.Ultimately this has nothing to do with sexism and putting women back or whatever (although one could argue racism perhaps). It's about keeping a sense of decorum and professionalism in the state house. Two things Polissa has none of.

Hot take from Polissa: "poverty is violence"
She just complains about disability and says "living on program has been the hardest thing of my life". Okay, then get off it. You do not have to be on disability if you do not want to be. It sounds like you agree it would be easier if you just work like everyone else and earn your own way.
Hang in there, fam. I don't think any of the thread regulars think less of someone who was working but now can't for legitimate medical reasons. The collective criticism is instead directed towards people such as Polissa who can still work in some sort of capacity (no matter how menial) but chose not to and instead expect government handouts as their primary income when there are people who need/deserve them only to be denied.what's hard is people who once thrived in their careers having to finally accept after several years of fighting whatever dx that has disabled them to apply for snap and ssdi because it makes them feel like a shitty non-productive member of society.
Sadly, Polissa is like many people who use social media. I bet nearly all of us would raise our hand if asked to show it if we had one or more family members that publicly aired their dirty laundry on a social media platform. In her specific case, it shows her lack of a social filter that otherwise keeps people from publicly disclosing socially-inappropriate details.Does she ever consider that her family might not want all their business aired on TikTok? Jeez
@toilet_rainbow is right to point out the irony that Polissa expresses disgust with uniforms while wearing the Handmaid's Uniform as a form of protest. Her dislike of all authority is definitely childish and ironic when one considers that she gets her gibs via governmental authority."My issue with dress codes- it's a real slippery slope straight into a uniform. And I have a big issue with uniforms."
Agreed. Politicians should be adult and professional enough to resolve issues regarding their dress outfits amongst themselves. Without exploring the issue deeper, I bet the politician whose outfit was the center of controversy probably responded to feedback about the outfit's appropriateness with some version of, "You can't make me change and I won't," prompting the knee-jerk reaction of amending state law. While I think that legislators should definitely dress professionally and have pride in their job, mostly I wish they'd shut the fuck up about nonsense like this and focus on what actually matters. But legislators gonna legislate...everything. Over and over and over again.
There are plenty of public elementary and middle schools that have uniform requirements, especially in low-income areas. Part of the reasoning is to make lower-income students on par with their peers who may be able to afford expensive clothing. With uniforms everyone is equal as far as school clothes go, and poor kids don’t feel bad their parents can’t buy them expensive clothes. Not that Pissa even thinks about kids or anyone other than herself.@toilet_rainbow is right to point out the irony that Polissa expresses disgust with uniforms while wearing the Handmaid's Uniform as a form of protest. As for uniforms, most private schools have them and students wear them with little if any resistance. I didn't ave any issues when I attended a school with a uniform policy. Heck, all kinds of entities in the real world have some sort of uniform or dress code policy for good reason. Polissa's response to the subject reflects her detachment from the real world.
No fucking ill feelings towards those people. Those who /have/ to accept that they can no longer work? Please, PLEASE draw your disability.what's hard is people who once thrived in their careers having to finally accept after several years of fighting whatever dx that has disabled them to apply for snap and ssdi because it makes them feel like a shitty non-productive member of society.
I've also heard that some public schools in lower income areas also have a uniform dress code to minimize gang violence in that the dress code tries to avoid colors and clothing articles that would identify gang members and make it easier for them to be targeted during the school day. There are plenty of public elementary and middle schools that have uniform requirements, especially in low-income areas. This was the point I was trying to express, only you expressed it far better than I did. It's one thing for people to take advantage of a safety net when they truly need it. Those who don't need it only take away from those who need it and have no other alternatives.I only harbor ill will against turds who doctor-hunt to get diagnosed with ailments that may or may not be work-limiting so they can draw off of benefits programs intended for those who MUST use them, mostly to support laziness.
I was wrong. It wasn't Rep. Proudie with the sequins. It was Rep. Kelly, the lady who suggested the textual change in the first place.

Polissa declares the United States is in a civil war with the end goal being to control how women look. "Shots have already been fired."

Isn’t the United States 100 years in the past just Missouri anyway?
From what I'm seeing on their single page website, it's strict couples and families only. Twenty year old yeast infections and animals don't count as children.I will throw out there that (as I stand informed thanks to rather peculiar associates with intriguing tastes) there are nudist colonies in all 50 states.
Pissa should go to Gymno-Vita Park and be free.
For the curious. I hate that I know of this site.
ETA: Feel free to negrate. I hate that I know this and deserve all the penis-piercing horror ratings and Islamic Content y'all wanna throw my way.
