That's the part I'm waiting for. He's on a payment plan with the IRS for his backtaxes, but he is still supposed to be saving money to pay the ones due in April, and the wwe spending/constant zero balance in his account means he hasn't been. I have no idea what the tax bill is on 100k a year, but there is no way he is prepared for it. We are going to see next level begging over the next few months as the anxiety builds up.

Either he's an alcoholic which means he's still one (because you never stop being one, even if you manage to quit drinking) or he abuses alcohol for personal reasons but isn't addicted.

I come from a whole family of severe alcoholics and there's no way in hell any of them would be able to switch to casual drinking. That's not how alcoholism works. It's like an obese person saying they can have just one piece of cake and then eat right for the rest of the week. You don't just stop being an alcoholic, or having depression.

I've known a few alcoholics. Casual drinking is not an option. Even non-alcoholic beer is a problem. Phil is drinking shots of gin and he's supposed to have been an alcoholic?

I think it's somewhere in the middle. I think he can see he's an alcoholic, but he can justify his current drinking patterns by lumping in his "old" drinking with his past toxic behavior. To him, he has come a long way in his persona and as a person. He thinks he is positive, machoor adult now. Now he drinks like an adult would drink - just eight 2-4 drinks a night. He's externally coping when he says shit like this.

The fact that he is saying it more as well as talking about drinking more means it's on his mind. Either it's bugging him, or there is an issue keeping it on his mind

You are 100% right. I've never met a casual drinking alcoholic. But then again, the laws of addiction don't apply to Phil because he did nothing wrong and everything correct.

• alcoholic
• chick magnet (the latina story)
• LAN party organizer
• depressed person (on a "cocktail of drugs", wanted to do "something drastic")
• pro fighting game player

And these are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head.
Every entry on the above list contradicts at least one other one - but that doesn't matter, because anything he can either spin into a victim story or use to prove how cool he is, that's what he was back in the day.
Please don't try and think about it too much. He doesn't either.
