Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Nigga your ESL ass can't even read comics
Who do you think these cartoon picture-books are for in the first place?

I dunno. I'm increasingly of the opinion that at this point anybody who signs up for any comicsgate project (@FROG 's or not) should damn well be aware they'll get it when they get it, and not a moment before. Caveat emptor/caveat lector. The failure to meet any and all dates is so thorough, so egregious and of such long-standing in CG that I just roll my eyes at people bitching about it. Fool me once, etc.

I'm honestly not sure why everyone just doesn't wait until the project goes to "in demand" at this point. It isn't like you'll be getting the book much later than the shlubs who paid in shekels two years earlier if you buy it going that route. Maybe you won't get three stickers or something really exciting like that (oh no!), but you'll also have had use of your funds for literally years longer.
It makes zero sense backing these projects when you can just buy them on Frog's eBay store after they're years late instead of giving a 3-year interest-free loan to a millionaire. Cheaper too when you factor inflation or year-end inventory dumps like what happened a few weeks ago. Nothing is actually 'limited' either, I haven't seen anything that was IGG-exclusive and not available on the ebay store when finished.

[EDIT: maybe the headsketches were exclusive?]

50 years ago? Functionally literate men who appreciate sexual innuendo. That's what the Army discovered back in 1969, when they were sending people like my father off to Vietnam.

Full read for anyone interested:
Now? I dunno. Pretentious faggots who think sexy things are objectification and violence? That's what Marvel and D.C. seem to think anyways.

I loathe CG a lot of times, but I don't hate the idea of CG. Ya know? *sigh*

Wow, that brings back memories. My old man used to bring home those old PS magazines and let me have them when he was done.

For those that weren't in the US Army or didn't grow up on Army bases, PS Magazine is/was a digest sized magazine dedicated mainly to preventive maintenance of military weapons and equipment. On the surface, it's a rather dry subject that most kids probably wouldn't bother with, but PS stood out because actual comics artists would draw the covers and interior illustrations (usually the artists were vets themselves). PS was probably the first place I ever saw Will Eisner's art. I fucking loved those things.

Sorry for the derail but, to Manning's point, adult men (especially servicemen) have always been a market for comics. They were suitable for children, but men like reading adventure stories with dashing heroes and good looking women. It isn't difficult to find photos of WW2/Korea/Vietnam era soldiers reading comics in their downtime.

There's a reason Captain Marvel had a circulation over 1 million in the 40s, and it wasn't because 6 year olds loved it.

What is funny is watching this movement die a slow death because people like you suck Ethan Van Scivers cock. Be sure to send your Emoji's of autism and mad at the internet you dumb Comics cucks.

Did you have a bad day, sweetie?

Sit down right here and tell me aaall about it.

And not a word about the shitty amateurish ticket stub covers, sorry, microperforation covers.
But this thread's NOT a hugbox, OK?

I can't speak for anyone else, but personally I just don't hyperfixate on nothingburgers.

Terry A Davis level glow op going on.

Lolwut

I chose a good time to dust off my KF account. Did they put something in the water last month?

This thread is NOT a hugbox.
Which is why it's dead until someone makes a factual statement about fatty van grifter and his and his friends' never-coming-out books.

or until a group of spergs that just signed up last month fuck around and start some slap fights cuz they couldn’t get enough attention from Daddy Ethan. That’s always good for a laugh too.

Still waiting.
Eh? Perforated covers, quotes from victims er I mean customers? The very lifeblood of comicsgate itself! The raw, unfiltered truth of a "movement"! The stuff of legend!
And then there's Reignbow, Snowman, about a dozen other pieces of vaporware.
And James Calkins and Rob Willis with Shinobi Sasquatch. They're CG too you know. They even hosted a Dale Keown / Gabe Eltaeb "wrestling match" or some shit.

World Class Bullshitters tier. Wrong application for type of product.

The only new thing in this vaguely schizoid post is the microperf covers. I searched to learn more but the most relevant results were Frog's own tweet, that you already posted here. So in response to that, I think the operative term here is binding. In the photo, the book is bound with smaller, closer perforations than is usual.
Can you elaborate more, or is all this just Liam-style brain inflamation provoked by a narrow understanding of the word perforation? Can @FROG provide more insight to this process? Either way, I still think this is not the hill you should choose to die on.

Everything else: what Rupin said. Old news.

For real, I was pretty done with this thread a few months back and didn't see myself checking it again anytime soon. Came back just in time for the Zack porno revelation. Perfect timing.

I'm not sure if you're actually reading the thread but Frog already stated he's going with an alternative to perforation called "Heat Scored Binding". I think the reason you're not getting many answers is because you're just spouting out buzzwords and years-forgotten names and then going "see! How about that?!" as opposed to structuring your tantrum into something coherent that can be responded to. Try asking an actual question, and not one that's already been answered in this thread ad nauseum.

He isn't going with heat scored binding. He has already gone with the perforations. Hence, the picture of his "finished" any-day-now books.
