I love how on that meme meat, eggs and butter, all part of a typical non-woo diet, are on the same side as things that are straight up bunk, like essential oils and homeopathy. Yet other totally normal things like inhalers, fluoride toothpaste, sunscreen, paracetamol and fucking candles and air freshener are on the non-woo-approved list. And in typical Robyn fashion, our warrior mama still chooses to prolong her braindead daughter's life using the modern medicine she claims to hate so, so much, all the while spending hours on Instagram and living in the suburbs as opposed to off the grid on a farm or in a cabin in the woods.
I can see the value in limiting your kid's screen time and only ever giving them sweets as an occasional treat, but imo that's not even crunchy, that's just being a normal, decent parent. But for people like Robyn who brag about their all-natural, earth-mother parenting style, what's the alternative? Certainly don't think she reads aloud to Atlas or engages in imaginative play with him. I predict Atlas getting teased when he's older if, for instance, he's not allowed to have any junk food, like ever, or if his friends invite him to go see a movie but he can't go because no screen time. I went to school with a girl whose parents were very religious and she was similarly sheltered - no pop music, no Harry Potter, no cartoons or video games, and she was most definitely bullied.
(Slightly OT but I've heard organic food in the US actually is different from its non organic counterpart - can anyone confirm or deny? Here it's little more than a marketing gimmick to jack up the price of food so gullible hippies will buy it)
