She doesn't currently have a PCP. She mentioned in passing awhile back that "She went back to her own country" without even saying what that country was. It would have been more realistic to say She went back to India....or China...or whatever the country was. The lack of elaboration is always a tell. My guess is that she was dropped because of all of the cancellations/no shows and not following doctor's orders. It's allowable for physicians to do that in Canada. If she applies for another one there's a loooong waiting list, but it's a certainty that she hasn't even bothered.

Short answer: Yes airlines mortuary cargo (thats what they call bodies) is calculated by weight and distance.

If they have her cremated first, about $300 US plus a moderate fee for the country to handle the package. Otherwise for the whole corpse its as low as 5,000 up to 20,000 USD total. THere are a LOT of fees. Aside from paying for the morgue/hospital etc where they died, you have to pay out-shipment fees to the country they died in which covers things like customs and handling, then the airline fees etc. Some travel insurance may include this, but did Chantal share these detaisl with her family? No.
I'd suspect they'd go the cremate and ship option. Probably $2000-3000 total after paying the funerary (cremation) costs etc.

The US website does a great job outlining how it all works. Most "western" countries procedures will be very similiar. as they either come up with, or copy ,the US. I suspect liver function impairment may be affecting hunger levels as is common in elderly cats I’ve worked with. Poor girl is probably also dehydrated as fuck as a result of the liver function impairment which alone can cause seizures. I’m hoping it’s something along these lines which has some treatment options that could make her more comfortable and regular check ins on her quality of life after the fact could extend it further, one such case I’ve worked with presenting similarly was known to live from 16 to 21 with minimal intervention. PL sperg over. On topic: Chantal is fat and I would not have sex with her.
