I have not used Algebra nor Calculus since I passed them. I almost wrote this off as correct and just Twitter punching itself in the face but no one questioning it. Then the ghostly memory of one of my professors highlighted it in red marker like half of the answers on most of my tests.

There are multiple forms of the quadratic formula.

They botched the one they were trying to reference so bad they put 'x', the thing you are trying to solve for, in the fraction to be divided. They also got the negative and positive state of a couple of variables wrong, but that is nerd shit.

In layman's terms, this is the equivalent of building the frame for a house on the dirt then pouring the foundation concrete around the planks and studs.

It is so far from correct I am disappointed, but ultimately not surprised.

Not really. This is the most basic algebraic formula you learn in high school, at least over here where I live. There's something seriously wrong with the guy who put that graphic in this already shitty show.
