Alaa contacted a friend of his that works for the government. The friend said his options were (1) Press charges, but that would require Chantal to remain in Kuwait even longer, or (2) Have the bitch fly home and gtfo, but not press charges. Alaa told his friend to wait on his decision. He says he will go live in the next few days and tell Chantal that if she goes live again, he will go forward with the charges and she'll be unable to leave Kuwait. If she shuts up until the 28th and doesn't livestream, he won't press charges and she can go home as planned.

Isn't her current plan to return to Kuwait? If so, her returning to Canada won't get her out of Salad's life unless he can be convinced that she's useless to him as either an ATM or a path to residency in another country.

I agree with everything you said, but Chantal had done all that when Alaa posted his initial video two weeks ago. Yet in that video he was very restrained in his criticism of her, especially considering how despicably she had talked about him and his wife. I expected him to be bent out of shape, and rightfully so. But he wasn't. He didn't seem angry at her at all, and frequently expressed a fatherly-like concern for Salah.

I haven't seen Chantal make any more posts about him and his wife, or talk about them in her livestreams. So I wonder what she did in the last 2 weeks that has him so fired up that if she posts any more livestreams he said he's "100%" going to the authorities. Hard to believe it was worse than that racist expletive-filled New Year's rant, but apparently it was. Maybe she'll react to it and let us know.
