Pissa might be laying low on the grift for a while. We know she reads here, she might be taking it to heart that WE have noticed that she does nothing but beg for weeks at a time and that tires people out so they ignore her. That, or she thinks her ice-cold political takes will gain her more followers to then expose to her suffering and need for cash and only cash instead of good, solid advice for a person struggling financially. My money is on the latter, and she'll later begin dropping hints that her wishlists need emptied and the cats are starving and Joh needs bail money again and her new trailer's floor fell out from the frame.

Well, I will happily announce that she has added to neither of her Amazon wishlists. They are stagnant as fuck as nothing's vanished off of them, either. Nobody's biting.

She did beg for some sort of hospital bills at one point. She also mentioned that it cost $10,000 for Joh to get his rabies shots after being attacked by that raccoon.
Polissa has done a couple brief periods of not begging before, mostly when she's been scared off by cat ladies or us. The fact that her linktree still has her wishlists and CashApp is a sign that she may intend to beg again for realsies soon. She indirectly begged last week with that whole "compensate me if you like my TikToks!" video. She's getting there. Wait for it.
(Also, by the way, if you're on her TikTok while logged in (following or not), her begging posts are still pinned so that they're the first videos you see.)
I have a couple more Valentines Day and anniversary tweets saved that I can post later. Like I said, though, I can absolutely see her begging sooner than later. I think she's currently testing the waters, so to speak.

So I did just a smidge of digging. She got her $10,000 price from a simple google search - it was an editorial in the 'politics' section on vox.com.
But just looking at sites that are slightly more reliable than fucking Vox, and you find the following:

This link is the Alabama Public Health website with information IRT rabies. This confirms that the rabies vaccine featured in that second screenshot for $418.48 at Walgreens is the required drug. 3 shots are required for full treatment according to the linked website, just as is mentioned in the 3rd screenshot I put up there.
So yes, it'd cost them about $1.3K without insurance. Definitely not $10K.
(BTW, that Vox write-up? There's no references sited. No information sited. The few links it has goes to an NPR editorial that was pretty much copy-pasted onto the Vox site, and that ALSO sites no data. Both articles read like opinion pieces with numbers thrown out there. And the thing is... the prices they quote are for rabies treatments administered in the ER, but they don't differentiate between total bill and just the medication, so I wonder how much of that was transportation fees, ER doctor fees, etc....? There's many, many details missing that makes the whole claim super sus. Especially when you can get the shit at Walgreens for less than $500 a pop.)
So... I'd believe her if she'd knocked a '0' off that price tag, but she's a fucking idiot who wants maximum gimmes.

while i've only ever had to pay for a rabies vaccine once (it was around $350 back in 2015 or 2016), i do know that the ER cost that hit the police yearly budget for the department i was with when an officer gets bit is around $3-4k or so, but a huge chunk of that is ER room costs, not the shot itself. there was a meeting about it and why we needed to call animal control since they have their tetanus and rabies vaccines annualized as well as stuff for malaria and other weird things.

In short I found myself having to go to the ER to get a rabies vaccine a few years ago and I had to get 5 shots the first time. Then I had to get booster shots twice more. The total for all of that? 6k for the whole thing. And a huge chunk of that was the ambulance bill for the first 5. I live in the U.S. to add some context. So no. Not 10,000 for a single shot.

I've heard that rabies shots are very painful, is this true? We don't have rabies in my country, although we do have a closely related bat lyssavirus.
Also, wouldn't an emergency rabies vaccine be covered by Medicade, or some similar low income program in the US?

Rabies sucks. Bicillin is a billion times worse. Source: Rigamarole of shots one has to receive upon entry to military service. It was over 20 years ago, but I will never forget that fucking bicillin shot.

Actually the first 2 were horrible as they had to do it right where I was bitten. The other 3 not so much as one was on my rear end and the other two were on my arms like where you would get a typical shot. The boosters were also in my arm so not that painful.
But Polissa's claim of 10k is way off base. I think @Diet Coke 4 Life is right at the guess that perhaps Polissa did a quick search and found that Vox article. I'd go on to hazard a guess that that there was perhaps that greedy side of her that saw dollar signs.

I thought those were some sort of wall decorations, but I was also (and still am) exhausted af and had remembered when she had a crooked crucifix on her wall.
