The 800k Cope-a-thon occurring in February is now almost inevitable.

I still haven't come up with a satisfying explanation for Jim's prolonged bleed. Honestly I expected to hit zombie/die-hard territory not long after 900k, but the fact he has consistently, continuously bled subs for going on 3 years now (with his Patreon following suit) is truly bizarre to me.

I've never seen such a rigidly consistent pattern of decline before; it really seems like over the course of each week a thousand-odd more people just get fed up with his repetitive bullshit and pull the plug.

I still haven't come up with a satisfying explanation for Jim's prolonged bleed. Honestly I expected to hit zombie/die-hard territory not long after 900k, but the fact he has consistently, continuously bled subs for going on 3 years now (with his Patreon following suit) is truly bizarre to me.

I've never seen such a rigidly consistent pattern of decline before; it really seems like over the course of each week a thousand-odd more people just get fed up with his repetitive bullshit and pull the plug.

This is pretty much it - you nailed it with repetitive bullshit. We've been over all the causes before, many times - He's constantly rehashing the same points without any care to introduce them to 'new' viewers, he's always late on the ball, he looks more and more clownish, he's become more condescending and insulting to his audience as time has gone on, and he's never made an effort to improve or evolve his formula in years. Here lies dying brand, Jim thought he was hosting the funeral, but its actually for him.

Even if someone doesn't nope out of the troon saga, other creators have gotten better while he's declined, and people don't usually like to watch the same video three times over. If you watched any other person talk about the news the day it became relevant, then any take Jim has will be a week late, and a subset of what was already said - never additive, never unique. People stop watching, and eventually unsub due to youtube homepage behavior - If you are subbed to someone, it will keep their newest videos in that homepage until you watch them, clogging up the feed. There's other ways to clear it out but most people just know that unsub will do it.

If channels like Cooking with Jack are any indication of the zombie floor, its gonna be around half a million or less. Both are fairly old youtube accounts which gained early popularity and then went to shit. While the hardcore group is probably around 80k based on Patreon numbers, and declining. He could legit floor around 500k, and that's assuming youtube doesn't aggressively increase their clearing of zombie subs.

At this point Jim is almost entirely basing Jimquisition on the clout he gained back when he left the Escapist and the DH saga a while ago now, he's not been relevent for a while and likely never will since he burnt all his bridges in the industry so he can't even try claw back viewers by actually putting the effort in (not that he would as a 'pro' wrestler). He does still have a dedicated audience so I imagine he'll never truly bottom out and be forced to quit YT.

Jim's content isn't just bad, it is impressively worse every single week. I watched Jim for a long while, stopped just before he trooned out and starting memewatching every week once I started lurking this thread. Looking back Jim is always one upping his thumbnails from soyface to pedo grin and in the videos themselves talking about capitalism bad and mommy milkers in ways that somehow get more repetitive and uninspired every week. After this video with the condescending fiddling of a kid's toy (wtf?) and the worst take on this Hasbro situation it's almost as if this video was my second tipping point and while I can't unsubscribe again I have a newfound empathy for everyone who is fed up and is now leaving.

Jim's drops may be impressive, but are only matched by his downward spiral into the land of Islamic Content and HIV+ community word salad, and I cannot think of a more suited e-celeb for these tanks than Jim fucking Sterling son.

Yeah I do think we will eventually hit a bottom and the bleed will stop, so Jim could comfortably keep doing what he's doing forever, but I suspect he might freak out and quit YouTube before that happens.

He seems to be deteriorating rapidly, and with support for gender bullshit appearing to have reached a turning point (though I am under no illusion we're out of the woods) I think Jim is going to find his world rapidly shrinking in a way he won't be willing to deal with, and if he tries to pull out of the alphabet shit he's mired in there's going to be nothing left waiting for him on the other side.

TL;DR Jim isn't going anywhere unless it's by his own hand, and that is not unlikely.

I think its better than it might appear - The hard part has always been being able to even present the counter argument, and thats the part thats getting easier. I'm not worried about how long it takes to finally die, just when we can actually start fighting it on open ground, which seems like its here. More and more places are allowing the basic arguments against the worst of the community to be made, and that's all we really need to start fixing shit.

Between fans and dead accounts, I wonder how many of Jim's subs are people who do not care about having a clogged feed. I dunno. I see where you're coming from but I get the strong feeling that specifically in the case of troons the journos (as well as the politicians, doctors, hand-maidens and everyone else glad-handing this lunacy) are going to do everything they can to memoryhole this entire fad and pretend it never happened.

How history remembers this period in our culture is going to be extremely interesting I think, and entirely unlike the previous hot topic fads we've gone through. Take Feminism as an example: despite all the dumb shit third-wavers pushed that ultimately killed their movement's momentum, anyone who isn't part of America First still views women as people deserving of equal rights etc, and probably a lot of people even still consider themselves Feminists; just not the cringey 'air conditioning is sexist' kind. So while there will be some schadenfreude stories about 40yo dead-eggers who regret their life choices, in the main most women are doing just fine, with or without feminism.

Troons are a totally different proposition. People like Keffals and Liz Dong Gone can never go back, anyone who got on the troonshine or worse is probably going to be dealing with lasting effects to varying degrees of severity for the rest of their lives. Even the transtrenders who just wanted the label without getting the chop or titty skittles aren't going to be able to escape the digital footprint they've left behind.

Say what you want about people like Anita Sarkeesian (lord knows I have) but nothing that ever came out of her mouth is remotely comparable to the absolutely heinous shit troons have said and done. Complaining about Lara Croft's fat ass and saying toxic masculinity causes school shootings is small potatoes compared to forcing your way into women's changing rooms, threatening to rape every natal woman who disagrees with you and strong-arming your way into women's sports to steal their medals and opportunities.

I've thought about this a lot. The entire gender movement, for want of a better umbrella term, has just struck me as goths or chavs or mods or rockers or whatever. I guess only the hippies have ever had such an effect on society at large before. I do think a cultural and legal reckoning will come. Not just for it happening and being morally and ethically wrong, but for why sensible and cool heads allowed it to happen. It isn't like painting a flower on your face or painting your nails black; lives have been ruined, innocent people have been hurt, and people have died. And anybody normal enough to say even as meek a comment as "perhaps this isn't a good idea, we should think this through properly first" was immediately silenced, threatened, and shut down. It's wild. You pondered how history will see this time: I think history will see it as a time of decadence or even insanity.

He's discussed D&D multiple times on podcasts, both his own podquisition, various "improv comedy" podcasts and spin off doctors as well as going back on co-optional podcast as a guest of TB, and on desructiod. He looted a Holy Avenger once on his Fighter and took levels of Paladin to use it IIRC for a specific story.

He's a "RP and gameplay first, mechanics second" player according to him going back to even the "Banana Republic Dictator" persona days. He's a D&D player, and a longtime one at that, it has just never been part of his brand so he doesn't constantly yell about it on YouTube, streams, or podcasts, it gets a passing sentence or two here and there though. That's important BTW, Jim might recently have gone retarded with his brand, but he's actually very careful about the fact he presents a brand, it's a deliberate part of his brand now that he's an oversexed troon, just like it was part of his brand that he was an egotistical deviant. He usually is pretty careful to downplay aspects of his life not deemed part of the Jim Sterling Brand™.

He actually seems to have been one of those people who played 3.5e all through 4e without converting to PF1e, he was a very early adopter of 5e, and I know he's fairly familiar with the World of Darkness setting to a degree that only faggots like me who gush over it would be, making references to it over the years in ways that never appeared in the video games it has gotten, meaning he's likely a player of the system, even referencing who actually writes it during an episode of Fist Shark Marketing, something that's niche knowledge even among fans of the video games. He used to have a group he played with twice a month in the US, and he tipped toed around it, but they seemed to meet every week, alternating between LARPing and TTRPGing, both while doing drugs.

Jim and D&D is one of those quiet background things that gets ignored, because it's not in his videos much and is rather mundane.
