Funny story, I actually had a good friend who went to Japan in like...2018-2019 with three others. We'll call him Bob. Bob and the others were out exploring late and came across a bar and there were really hot girls outside standing around and they were flirting heavy with Bob and co. Two in the group were smart and were like...nah, we're good - but Bob and one of them decided to hang out. They went inside and the girls were laying it on thick, like touching and what not.

They did exactly what you said and got Bob + friend to buy drinks for them yet the conversation never came up how much the drinks were until the end. Bob thought they'd be reasonable...come to find out the girls had him purchase them "really expensive" sake that was like 40,000 yen a bottle (or like 300~ USD). Bob and his friend flipped because they had drank multiple bottles + they didn't have much cash on hand. Queue this really sketchy dude coming out of nowhere and telling them they needed to pay and if they didn't something bad would happen. He was (allegedly) a yakuza, lol, and he like forced them to go with him to ATM machines and withdraw large sums of money under implied threat.

That sort of scenario would totally have happened to Chibi if he didn't go with a group.

I don't know word for word but it was a talk about hygiene, how he'd follow people around without asking, how he was not following social queues (waiting outside rooms and hoping to be let in) as well as just causing general drama. This talk was given to him by our mutual friend (the one he accused of falsely sexually assaulting him) and he proceeded to pout in his room for like a day~ while sympathy baiting on his Discord + Twitter.

I've been reading this thread for a long time now but I never made an account because I had nothing to add. Fortunately, I'm enough of a retard to comment on this one specific topic.

This game is 80 hours long, and this racism shit is basically nonexistent aside from the occasional "You nipponese are sure a quirky bunch" and other shit in that vein. (The characters are Japanese students visiting 1800s Britain.) They never say "You noodle eating chink zipperheads" or anything like that. People are literally just finding things to be mad about. Maybe it's an English translation thing, but it's basically a non-issue.
There is only one character who actively dislikes Japanese people, and it's for plot reasons, but it's so mild that you'd never even think about it. By the end he Gran Torinos himself and stops being "racist", but there are other more important things at the forefront in the plot.

The original thot that cheebs was responding to was just trying to make herself a victim and Chibi being the Phoenix Wright cosplaying, white knight retard he is, he felt needed to say something. He gets a lot of shit wrong, including the characters' names. These thoughts he has so sloppily shat out into a retarded tweet probably never even crossed his mind when he played this because he was too preoccupied screaming "OBJECTION" at the top of his lungs to drown out the sound of his brother goin' down on his beautiful Nigerian goddess in the shower.

When he constructs arguments, it reminds me a ton of like a middle schooler's writing style. Just rambling with no direction.
