Trying to stay as neutral as possible here and honestly it seems like the reluctance to send even more new systems and vehicles due to logistical and maintenance reasons is perfectly reasonable. Especially MBT's that will be at a much higher risk of being targeted and destroyed than artillery like the HIMARS or M777.

I'm a fan of Western tanks like the Abrams & Challenger but I doubt Ukrainian crews will have the same success against the Russians with them as coalition forces had against the Iraqis for a few reasons:

Through no fault of their own they won't be as familiar with these new tanks even after training, which will likely be rudimentary and rushed.

Say what you want about Russian incompetence (I somewhat agree) but they're a peer opponent for the Ukrainians unlike Iraq against the coalition. In fact, Turkish Leopard 2's have been destroyed by the fucking Kurds so whose to say how they'll do in an all out war.

When these vehicles inevitably need repairs there's no guarantee the Ukrainians will have the parts or expertise to effectively do that. I know there are repair facilities in Poland helping out but will that be enough? Idk, one of you guys might know more about that.

It brings to mind the Germans in WW2 who had such a large variety of specialised vehicles, some very good and some bad, they sometimes had a hard time keeping these vehicles repaired as opposed to say the Americans or Soviets who had a smaller variety of vehicles that were often merely adequate but had interchangeable parts and crews could easily transition from one to another.
