$20 price tag for hollow and repetitive gameplay at times + story that barely holds together though so I suggest pirating. You definitely want to not interact with the OMORI community because from what I've seen they're worse than Undertale's, albeit indeed less widespread.Haven't played the game at all, but relating to the community around this game. Sure seems like it didn't have nearly the reach or lasting impact of Undertale and thank God for that. I'm sure it's a decent title but fuck for the most part this games fans were homestuck level.
The artists are big into shipping, which usually means they ignore the canonical relationship between Aubrey and Snuy to have Sunny destroyed by BBC Kel for whatever reason. Other than that, most Omori fans follow the baseline of Discord humor with some fairly impressive works in between such as thisOMORI community because from what I've seen they're worse than Undertale's, albeit indeed less widespread.
This is correct in my experience, though I could have gone without the Kel bit that I didn't know about. The artists are big into shipping, which usually means they ignore the canonical relationship between Aubrey and Snuy to have Sunny destroyed by BBC Kel for whatever reason. Apparently this was the dev's first game and it was her passion project at that. To top it off she also had a bunch of Kickstarter goals to do as well.It fucking sucks. Drags on forever, nothing interesting happens. Just a whole bunch of wankery that should not have taken more than a year to make.
Undertale took a similar amount of time and was Toby's first real original title, second experience on a game since an Earthbound fangame years prior. Similarly he went the kickstarter route to get it out the door. How do you think the two games compare?Apparently this was the dev's first game and it was her passion project at that. I mean they're decent all things considered. But I guess I'd be a lot more peeved if I had backed the project 6 years ago and the dev didn't communicate well or at all (which seems to have been Omori's main issue).Undertale took a similar amount of time and was Toby's first real original title, second experience on a game since an Earthbound fangame years prior. I bet you 100$ that when I will start my "passion project" game it will be more complex, interesting and fun than this Earthbound abortion.Apparently this was the dev's first game and it was her passion project at that. To top it off she also had a bunch of Kickstarter goals to do as well.
Did Omori even get a demo or did fans just have to wait the entire time to have any access to the game?I mean they're decent all things considered. According to this the demo was published on 2018. Still a pretty long time without any sort of content delivered.Did Omori even get a demo or did fans just have to wait the entire time to have any access to the game?
Wait, there are mods being developed for the game? Didn't think the fanbase was that dedicated. Most story mode mods are in their infancy but I have hope they’ll uplift the game, given the right people mod them
The majority I know are posted here. Some are memes, some content extensions for areas as Blackspace or the portrait system but head cannon pieces are in the works such as REVERIE. They have pretty good followings on Twitter if you search these teams up. They are in their babby phase as I mentioned before so don't download it expecting a full game of content (yet)Wait, there are mods being developed for the game? The right people? From the OMORI fandom that is LGBT-obsessed despite the game being about minors? Most story mode mods are in their infancy but I have hope they’ll uplift the game, given the right people mod them
I'm honestly surprised they latched onto OMORI given both alluded to relationships are entirely hetero. The right people? From the OMORI fandom that is LGBT-obsessed despite the game being about minors?
I cannot summon rainbows big enough.
