There's tons of differences.
I'd say the pig is definitely more intelligent -- if they're not those miniature ornamental ones (which have been excessively inbred to to be cute) they're actually relatively much more intelligent than something like a cow or a sheep, and a lot of them have considerable character and can be very amiable (or alternatively deadly dangerous in self defense). In general swine (wild or domestic) are adaptable, clever, and competent creatures. Clean, too, if given the chance. Yes, they like to wallow in mud to cool off and sooth their skin from things like insect bites, but given the opportunity (i.e. enough space) they keep themselves meticulously clean, and toilet away from their sleeping and eating quarters.
