I will rate Pandalee optimistic in that I feel like she thinks DSP's better days (financially) are still ahead of him. If I understand correctly, they still managed to get a house in a fairly well-off community and Phil's dad seems to be moneyed, as well.
That, and I would guess Phil is easily cucked by Pandalee, so she doesn't have to be as subservient to DSP's whims as other gold-diggers are.
