I enjoy a spicy vindaloo on occasion. As long as it is not overkill.

How extreme do you like your spiciness in food?

I don't order much, I prefer to cook myself, but I don't see the appeal of food being overly spicy.

I did not grow up with very spicy food, and I think it kind of take away from the experience.

Maybe, when you have more experience with it, you enjoy the depth of flavor in a different way. But for me, if it's too spicy, it just takes away from the actual flavor of the dish.

For example, if I do spring rolls, I'll put one Jalapeno in my sauce. I feel it, it has a kick, but it's still super mild and does not overpower the other ingredients.

Uhmm excuse me please sir could you take this mayonnaise back it is too spicy thank you very much

I'll always try a number 12 - OH MY GOD THIS IS LIKE GARGLING SATANS ARSE AFTER A PARTICULARLY SLOPPY TRICKY SHIT, at least once to see if the claims match the results, but I'm normally a 5/6 but according to the better 3/4's I seem to be running at a solid 15 at all times when it comes to how hot I have my food.

Only a nigger would confuse spicy food with tasty food.

There are so many spices to give food a good taste which do not involve hot food (not sure how to describe it differently).

In my country, we add hot spices to food that is going bad. That way, you won't taste it, you'll just taste the spice. Arabs love it.

At a certain point, it's no longer "spicy" and flavorful and it's just a sensation of pain. A good example would be those shitty Korean noodles that were making the rounds on jewtube a few years ago. They're definitely spicy, but that's all there is. It's bland flavorless shit.
It depends, the tomato ones and the cheese ones have great flavor and heat.

Love spicy food, it's a test of toughness and I like the flavor.

I can eat everything spicy without a problem. The only thing is that it gives me diarrhea so I keep it a little bit normal.
So it's not only the common man. Good to know princesses get the shits just like regular folks.

what if i only sometimes want spicy and even then the level of spice varies with my moods? what poll option do i click

You can always click on more than one since it varies.

I personally love the food insanely hot; even if my stomach, breath, and everything else is out of whack

Dave's Insanity Sauce comes to mind (absolute shit sauce IMO), along with all those other ones that just dump capsaicin extract into it. Hot peppers are delicious because they blend the heat of the pepper with its flavor. Try some fresh-chopped serranos, my all-time favorite pepper, in a pico de gallo or salsa, for example. It's much hotter than a jalapeno but the flavor of the pepper adds something unique.

I like super-hot peppers like the Ghost or Carolina Reaper...but they have flavor. A well-made hot sauce using peppers in this family can be delicious even if it's not spicy, the C. Chinense family is probably the best in the world for making tasty sauces.

To the question in the poll - I like my food hot and usually add some kind of hot sauce to it when making regular at-home meals. More complicated recipes I don't like to screw with.

The problem with this poll is that it's discriminatory, as it's contingent on the idea that you're obese enough to order out on a regular basis and thus have a "standard" commercial level of spiciness that you request. Therefore as a bigoted poll I request that it be taken down.

When I make food other people (admittedly lame white people) sometimes eat it and complain that it's too spicy, so I guess the answer would be "spicier than average".

I like spicy. So long as the spice has some depth of flavor anyway. That said, most of the "common" spicy peppers have great flavor. I eat jalapeños/habaneros/serranos/etc enough that I don't even really taste the spice anymore, and that is really the secret I guess. One starts to lose their sensitivity to the spice after enough exposure, just leaving the flavor behind.

I like spicy food but I don't ask for a dish to be made extra spicy in a restaurant or takeaway, I feel like it's just begging to be fucked with.

I'll just assume level 2 is the KFC Zinger and level 3 is the spicy chicken sandwich at Wendy's and level 5 is that shrimp vindaloo I had one time at an Indian restaurant in Britain where I ordered it because I wanted to try Dave Lister's favourite food from Red Dwarf but I had no idea of the level of pain I was getting myself into.

So somewhere between 2 and 3. Even the spicier Hungry Man bowls are getting to be too much spice for me as I get older.
