Future of the House

Yeah. 2014 would still be considered a pretty recent renovation. And not a minor one, either. Considering how severe the fire was, it must have been a complete, down to the studs, total revamping of the interior. New walls, new studs, new framing, new everything, all up to code. There's a lot of value just with that in and of itself. Even if the house needs things like new carpet or repainted walls or other cosmetic renovations, all the structural bones of the house itself are intact. A few rooms filled with Chandler filth isn't going to affect that much.

The house would need to be actively collapsing for them to consider knocking it down instead of just getting a cleaning crew. Don't get me wrong that house is by no means in a livable or sellable state, but it's not like Chris' attempts to break the fourth wall is going to take out a load bearing wall or crack the foundation.
Now you just putting the image of Chris on his first day out from prison or the care home burning it to the ground shouting "if I can't have it no one can"

Not having a master bathroom is retarded though. I want to slap the shit out of the retard that designed the place. Other than that, it should be a pretty easy flip. Roof is newish, so no worries there, and now I've taken a good 5 minutes to refamiliarize myself with the interior and it's fucked. The layout is so fucking retarded. Nothing about it could be considered a modern selling point, it's way too claustrophobic.

The wall between the kitchen and living room has gotta go, but it's load bearing, so you'd need at least one column which will probably look weird and fuck with the flow of the space. God dammit, the more I look at the layout, I just don't know. I think other farmers are right, tear this piece of shit down and start fresh. No amount of laminate, tile, and granite countertops is going to fix problem of the house being designed by an idiot.

People forget that the house was fixed up after the fire. Heaps worse than 14blc have been cleaned up and made presentable.
These kinds of split-level entry houses are not terribly popular at the present.

I seriously think they're more likely to rip it down and put up another. Especially if they know the house's reputation.

I'm sure a lot of that insanity comes from the hoard and how the Chandlers have used the spaces. There probably is a master bedroom we've just never seen, and the cramped interior could be pretty quickly solved by getting rid of the ceiling high barbage. Obviously it's still wouldn't be a modern design, but it wouldn't be the illogical labyrinth we've grown to view 14bc as.

Assuming the bank gets the house, which is likely even if Chris doesn't end up in a facility, they'll just clear all the horseshit out and sell as is. I doubt they'd go through the trouble of selling a bunch of random trinkets, and the house will be bought almost instantly.
Mark my words some retard will buy it "ironically"

One of the weens on Reddit snapped a pic of the dump a few weeks ago that I saved. It looks like its being fixed up, the jungle of crap on the side of the house is all gone and it looks like the shutters might've been painted. All the junk in the front yard is gone and it looks like its being maintained. Though for some reason there's still a fucking air-conditioner in the upstairs window, I guess Barb's wasting a shit ton of money on heat because of that.

If the pile of stuff stayed the same, you might safely assume Barb is still there. She would never sit still to let workmen trash her hoard. But if the house is being put in a sort of presentable shape, it's different. They're clearing the house out to sell it. Barb isn't there. Barb is laying in an electric bed filling diapers in some county run nursing home.

Someone else did a drive through the neighborhood and happened to snap a pic of her getting the mail the other week... or they straight up sat around watching the place. Surprised someone hasn't flown a drone up to the windows or something yet.

Please don’t give them ideas.

I try to think of the least interesting outcome, and that would be some immigrant family who has no idea who the Chandlers are buy the house because it’s remote enough for some privacy, but still close to cities. Weens take pictures for a while, but nothing interesting goes on, so they try to find Chris’s current residence instead.

She doesn't necessarily need to be out of the house for them to start on it, especially since it seems so far whoever's been cleaning it has started on the outside, where Barb's influence is significantly reduced. My guess is Tom and Harriet are silently preparing it to be sold to pay for a spot in a nursing home, although I'm not sure how they plan to get Barb to comply.

I watch Hoarders sometimes. Having the hoarder present while things are being cleaned up is major trauma for them. I don't think the inside is being worked on because the place is eventually going back to the bank and they want the bank to deal with the hoard. They'll just tidy up the front so it doesn't look abandoned and squatters move in.

It's a grainy silhouette after dark. Could be anyone. It's suspected now that 14 BC has an "R" at the end of the address for Barb, that large packages are delivered to the rear of the house and someone is coming by once a week to collect the mail.

If the property is being improved, I doubt Barb is still there for the reasons you said. She certainly doesn't have the money to pay for cleaners and I doubt any family would help her to that effect. I guess the only way to know if the Golden (meaning piss-covered) Hoard is gone would be if someone (legally) grabbed a shot of the interior or we discover foreclosure/eviction proceedings from the bank that owns the deed who would be gutting the place down to the bare floors and walls, coating everything in two or three layers of Killz, and trying to figure out how to sell it off without drawing attention to its infamy.

The "Infobox" near the mailbox is a curiosity to me. Around here, realtors attach them to properties when they're getting ready to sell them. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if Chris had put it up to distribute his biography or some shit, but never noticed it before this picture.

Yes. I was wondering what money you are talking about, because Barb is upside down on the house, has several collection agents after her, and the only thing she owns is a pile of junk. Does she have money I don't know about?

That explains a lot, I didn't know it was upside down.

If barb dies, Chris is fucked. If she's still alive, he probably can't go home. Everything the chandler's touch goes to shit.

I'm finally seeing the forest from the trees and wh
Holy shit, it's fucking spectacular....
