So this is essentially an entire call-out post directed at me. And I’m not super stoked to see that.

The reason I use the terms I do is to give pre-op people a realistic idea of what they can expect size-wise post-op. It will not look like an average cis-male micro penis and having that as a goal will set them up for disappointment. The “it’s just a micro penis” comments are misleading. There are very clear differences between cis micro penises (even small ones) and the average meta that are not achievable. It is not meant to be something negative or imply that all post-op guys with metas have toddler penises as adult men.

A pre-pubescent penis is just what the average meta turns out to match in shaft size- which is what most people are inquiring about when posting the repeat questions. It’s a very clear benchmark that most people have at least some idea of. Because puberty is when all the major changes happen that make a cis micro penis look how it does. That doesn’t mean a meta is a child’s penis. The size is similar and that is all. People are free to view their penises in whatever way works best for them, but when it comes to actually educating people on expectations comparable descriptive terms help a ton. My surgeon told me in those exact words to expect a penis that resembles something pre-pubescent in girth and length and I’m glad he did.

Are there some cis men out there with micro penises that are comparable in girth to the average meta? Sure- but they aren’t the ones you see when you Google “micro penis”. For anyone who is not aware of the limitations of meta, being told they can expect a micro penis is misleading and provides false hope for something that very often isn’t achievable.

For those who are offended by the term “pre-pubescent” in regards to size, this link (written by a pediatric nurse practitioner) breaks it down really well by age. The average meta will typically hit in the “14 and under” range- which is generally considered pre-pubescent for males. It’s just a measurement represented by a single adjective used in the medical world and that’s it. It’s not an insult.

If you type ''phallo after meta'' in the subs search bar, you will find plenty of experience stories.

I understand that the doctors telling you something different might be confusing. A PCP may be ''trans inclusive'', but unfortunately that doesn't mean they know everything about these procedures. As is obviously illustrated by the misinformation your PCP gave you.

This whole time I've been lurking on the sub, I've been having well intentioned comments removed and no amount of editing ever seemed to be good enough for your approval. Thoughts on "your results" censorship in r/phallo?​

I've noticed recently in r/phallo that anyone who posts a comment referring to surgery pics as "your results" gets their post removed and the following message from a bot:
"Your comment has been removed because it contained "Your results".
Per Rule 5, the word "results" in reference to another person's body and/or surgical experience is prohibited. You can see more about this rule here."
The idea behind it is that it's apparently now considered offensive to call someone's phallo penis "their results" because it's implying it's not a real penis. I personally wouldn't care if I were posting my phallo pics in there, because a) it IS the results of surgery and b) honestly it doesn't matter what you call it as long as you're not calling it a "frankendick" or something or otherwise surgery-shaming. On the other hand, I know censoring posts on Reddit isn't exactly the biggest thing in the world. But I'm against unnecessary censorship and I think the mainstream trans community has got everyone walking on eggshells when it comes to this kind of thing. I dunno. Maybe I'm being too reactionary. Let me know what you guys think.

I’ve always thought it was a bit weird. I’m pursuing phalloplasty so I’ve lurked that sub a decent bit, and constantly am needing to copy my comments, edit, and then repost them with different wording so that they actually get posted. It’s super annoying.

I think that sub r/phallo is less political and did nothing to stay neutral. I also know recently they were looking for mods to help so it could have skated by. I personally down voted that post because gross, ask the guys over in butch/stud lesbian subs about it, any other demographic, but the guys who are dysphoric and need surgery. Please don’t come here and say you want to fulfill a fantasy while taking a surgery slot, from a man who needs it.

I personally don’t agree with most nbs taking surgery slots, as a transmed. Men need penises not she/he/thems. Gender non conformity to permanently alter your body, to be neutral with a primary sex organ does not sit well with me.

The results thing I kind of get, many guys are dysphoric enough that results could trigger them. Some days results will trigger me and others it is a result of correction, for my anatomy on my transsexual journey. I think the rule takes in account everyone, because we all experience dysphoria differently. I know a guy who works in that industry. If he's dealt with a troon he hasn't mentioned it but he says when they have a suicide come in that was an otherwise healthy young person it puts the whole office in a funk for a week.
