Hmm, well it's not like Oney hides his edgy humour, and I'm pretty sure they still say faggot and other no no words in the most recent episodes (just censored). I would say that I don't get why he'd care if any said that he said edgy things before considering that that's not a secret and he has been called out before on it and not cared, but I guess maybe it would ruin his chances in the industry (the game he's working on, maybe Adult Swim in the future unless he's already got a part in Smiling Friends)?

Keep in mind, it might not be anything that would damage his career. People tend to have some secrets about their personal lives that they don't want outed because of how it'll change the perception of them, like how Norm MacDonald kept his cancer under wraps for nearly a decade just because he didn't want people feeling sorry for him.

It did seem like a big elephant in the room considering DD made it explicitly clear nobody stood up for them. DD&J probably understood that Arin has shit on Chris.

We're all aware that Arin's a shithead behind the scenes but is he one to publicly attempt to expose Chris? They're clearly in a mutually assured destruction situation but I'm not sure if I can see Arin genuinely attempting to "expose" Chris for whatever Chris could have possibly done. I think simpler and somewhat :optimistic: explanation is that Chris not standing up for DD was because he wasn't at the Grump offices by that point or at least not involved with the Dream Daddy drama in the same degree as people like Matt.

Iirc DD explained it that a group of people at the GG including Matt were encouraging DD to call out Dream Daddy as being pandering trash and that when he did none of those same people backed him up and then stopped associating with him out of fear from the powers that be in the office. DD also talked about Ryan who openly said that he didn't want get involved for fear of his own career and the fact that it just worth it for a mediocre "queerbaiting" VN that people wouldn't remember next month. Ding Dong actually shared the same sentiment as Ryan of it not really being worth it but was encouraged to go through with it by Julian who also talked DD down from suicide.

So when Ding Dong said "no stood up for him" he seemed to be talking about the original group who encouraged him to do this since he specified that he didn't blame Julian or Ryan. This all still may be a massive cope so that my favorite internet funny man isn't a shit friend but I also think that context of the event as DD described it should be given more charity then e-celeb gossip. It should also be noted Ding Dong has been vocally associating with Chris since then as recently as a few months ago acknowledging the YIIK finale so I doubt that if Ding Dong was as bitter as he was towards Matt he'd continue to do things like OneyStays.

Counter argument, Arin commissioning Shmorky not once but twice to animate for him and only to delete those Game Grumps Animated videos years later, despite the lovelies barraging him about the complete degenerate that is Shmorky from the very beginning.

And let us not forget the classic move of stealth deleting any videos with a slightly controversial figure COUGH Suzy nuking all of her content with Sky Willaims COUGH

This is such a running theme of Oneyplays, where they'll say something and people go "is this in direct correlation to Game Grumps???". Just shows how much of their fans are just people who jumped ship from Game Grumps because they realised how autistic they are but are also starved for drama and want to just see them make a 15 hour video all about shittalking the grumps.
Otto Heckel should make an Oneyplays compilation they possibly shittalked them
