Why are kiwi-books not good?

Why would they be good?

It makes sense. Most books overall are trash. Being a prolific writer of dumb books is way easier than to be good.

Add to this that there is no barrier to entry. Any retard can self publish, whereas institutional publishers have screening and correction processes in place.

It's not really surprising that randoms on a gossip forum who publish shit for free are not exactly the best authors.

You could make the same observation on most places dedicated to writing.

Kiwis are decidedly not a monolith. Depending on the section and thread that you're in, you're going to get extremely variable viewpoints and results. It's actually pretty interesting to see who gravitates towards what. Certain threads and sections I feel right at home, whereas in others I feel like a stranger in a strange land.

It runs the gamut from edgy sped Zoomer retards to 40-something women to educated working professionals to anime-obsessed basement dwellers to hyper-religious weirdos to atheist weirdos. I don't particularly care to familiarize myself with either you or the book thread, but I'm guessing that those partaking in it don't have a great deal in common with you or your tastes.

Which book threads? Which books are trash? What kind of books are you expecting to see discussed here? Why not start a thread about good books and be the change you want to see in the world?

Unpopular opinions about books
What are you reading right now?
Most books that are posted (eg; Dune, Mark Twain autobio, The Interpretation of Dreams) are very boring and worthless. I've tried reading all of them, and
they actively destroy your capacity to discern and reason. Here are some other examples: Faulkner, Pynchon and James Joyce
I'm not anti-semitic by any means, but those books all feel incredibly Jewish.

The primary theme of those listed works are: "Life is bad and you should kill yourself!"

Maybe you have come to the correct conclusion that most genre fiction is trash, but, at the same time, lack the education and background knowledge necessary to get something out of the classics. I know I've struggled with that when reading certain more difficult books.

Dickens is low brow melodrama that is literally assigned reading for middle schoolers. Dostoyevsky's only good works are the 3 basic bitch books everybody reads. Try reading "the idiot" or one of his other shit books. You could confine your reading to only Russians and keep yourself busy for years reading great books.

I dont think you have actually tried to read very many books- especially classic literature. You cite the guy who wrote robinson Caruso as one of your favorites too. And where on this site are people sperging about how much they love james joyce? He and Pynchon are considered to be difficult to read, both for different reasons. Did you literally just google "difficult modern literature", give up after 3 books and decide they are jewish? If you put in minimal effort you can find hundreds of 20th century and/or American writers recommended on this site.
