Dota uses the exact same workshop system as TF2, just less centralised. Valve has a list of people who make content who they often comeback to which led to major stagnation in the kinds of items being added into TF2 by their golden workshoppers for about 2-3 years worth of hat box updates. I didn't actually know that there was a TF2 thread in Community Watch when I posted. I might make a bit of a long post talking about the total meme that is the workshop community because there are a good number of small cows (lots of trannies) hiding in it.
