lol at the Karl Marx funko pop, plus its even more hilarious when you realize that Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels were massive hypocrites, they criticized the systems they complained about yet continued to profit off of them with the Communist Manifesto being the biggest proof of this.
So you could say in a way that both of them were the first breadtubers.
It wasn't even that they sold a shitty book or made a killing off of it, it's that Engels was a businessowner who as far as I know, was every bit as bad as any other capitalist at the time, didn't even convert his factories into worker co-ops.
As I mentioned somewhere else, leftists would actually get angry with government officials and capitalists who actually gave their subjects or workers (respectively) what they demanded, because doing so thwarted their scheme to inflame class hatred and start a revolution.
A surprisingly large number of breadtubers not only make a comfortable living off of their patreon and YT ad revenue, many like Emerican Johnson, AKA Noncompete, were also former business owners. They make more than the working class, and they could possibly start their own business/co-op with the wealth they have.
Fucking hell, I can only imagine what I personally could do with the amount of wealth that they have.
I'm not even going to say that it makes them hypocrites. Far from it, actually.
The thing is, charity or altruism involves giving up what would otherwise rightfully belong to you in order to benefit someone else, simply because you love your fellow man. You cannot be charitable or altruistic with communal property, nor with wealth that you've stolen at gunpoint from the rich capitalists.
If you really think about it, communists and anarchists both want to abolish charity and altruism.
Thus being covetous, greedy bastards who do jack to help their fellow men is pretty much consistent with the ideology of communism/anarchism. They may not be honest about what they want for society, or about the logical conclusion that their ideology will take them, but they sure as hell aren't being hypocritical.
