Best part of IRC was the secrets people would tell the bots. They never seemed to realize that the bots had to have a channel we ran them through that ircops would sit in to do admin stuff which all that they said was sent to.

EFNet was truly the Wild Wild West of IRC. And then SOCKS showed up and we had to retrofit the Eggdrops with proxy scanning scripts to keep people out who were ban evading. Good times.

Pretty sure I have told this story on a previous account but here we go again. Good stories can always be retold.
My room mate was working for a local ISP. I had a static IP through said ISP.
I managed to piss off someone. Don't know who. Don't know exactly why.
The DDoS on my static IP brought the entire ISP to its knees and my room mate was fired.
He ended up delivering pizza.

Lucas is most definitely not moving on from anything. He's painfully stuck with no way out because being a tranny he can't take the L or exercise common sense or work a job. But the difference with Elliot is significant. Elliot also is incapable of moving on, spending 7 years obsessing over a webforum and literally killing trans people by not using his money and power to help trans folk out. Sad. He's increasingly hiding his plans to commit crimes, if he goes dark, it just means he's planning another way to attack. He's forever escalating because he can't let go until either he burns or the world does. He's a lunatic. Lucas can't escalate, or won't, he's increasingly sinking deeper into a spiral of pain, painkiller abuse, depression, self hate, despair and lethargy. He will trickle out and while he won't let it go, it will just eat at him as he fades away.

I had something like this but with no real world consequences. I was talking shit to some Romanian kid and he took down an entire city block of my ISP.
