It's rare to have such solid proof of something I said come out so quickly after. Remember, what I said is that the side that wants to get rid of Biden is the side that is totally for fortification and thus has no need of the GOPe, meanwhile, the side that wants to keep Biden is all for the GOPe.

And now we see the same line of attack used on Biden now being used on Pence, a major member of the GOPe.

I was thinking more pence with the real Jeb! energy trying to make himself look like a big boy like the others, but that's an interesting point

Pence is a weird one to go after if this they aren't trying to get Biden with this shit, because I very much doubt anyone at all will come to Pence's defense.

"Pence did it too, so now you can't bitch about Biden..!" Like, yeah, ok, who cares enough about Pence that they wouldn't sacrifice him at the altar of muh classified documents to get Biden?

That is unless some GOP hack could be swayed by the Pence thing, maybe. I'm stuck between my feeling that no one cares for Pence, and my overall expectation that the GOP will fuck everything up.

Missouri Senator, Josh Hawley has introduced the PELOSI Act, which prohibits members of Congress and their family from trading stocks.
Bets on how long until he's accused of a serious sex crime?
Considering how fucking hard they had to work in order to make that acronym make sense, I'm thoroughly impressed by this congressional shitpost.

Sen. Roger Marshall did a similar thing last year when he wrote up what he called the "FAUCI Act", which would require the Office of Government Ethics to host the financial records of administration officials on their website and also provide a list of people whose financial records aren't public. The FAUCI acronym stands for "Financial Accountability for Uniquely Compensated Individuals", btw.

The Pence story is a whole lot of nothing though... He had his attorney search his house in the wake of the Biden bullshit and then turned them over... nobody was even looking for them or likely cared what he had.
A very Mike Pence thing to do, honestly.

On top of trying to make Hawley Hitler 2.0 for that photo of him walking in on January 6th to object to certification, they already tried to say Hawley was gay because he supposedly had a poster on his wall in college of a shirtless guy holding a baby in his arms, the point being something about real men care for the innocent, something Christian. He's already brushed it off and is supposedly the most liked politician in Missouri.

Selling it. Its state secrets which are worth a loooot of money.
Bingo - It doesn't even have to be a secret you yourself don't know. Knowing that they have something wrong, or are otherwise missing details, is just as valuable. which makes pretty much anything you can get your hands on worth it to someone.

I figured this was Pence and the GOPe falling on the sword for Biden.

"See guys? It wasn't just Biden. It was us Republicans too. We all need to do better. #Unity"

Call it optimistic but I think something's going to give in AZ.

Rules don't apply to the Democrats. What The Steal taught them is there are no consequences in America for stealing elections, no matter how blatantly and in broad daylight you do it. The Hamburglar could show up with a sack of votes written in crayon on notebook paper, and the judges would still rule "standing and laches" it kept a MAGA republican out of power.

I was talking to someone at the bookstore about all this classified document stuff, and he said "well, if they put away Biden for it they'll have to put Trump away for it too!" As if it was some kind of gotcha moment. I said I would be okay with throwing Trump under the bus. I'd honestly be fucking elated if they threw everyone involved in the government in prison (with the exception for Rand Paul, Boerbert, and Gaetz).

More or less, he was shocked that I wasn't a partisan hack like he is.

You'd think porn would have been the catalyst however even that has barely caught on
Problem with that, is that the Cartels are a rogue nation unto themselves and more to the point, only have the power they have because the Mexican government is corrupt as fuck and the Cartels basically consolidate power by gaining the hearts and minds of the poor people in the small towns and cities that get get fucked over by the big cities and the politicians that dwell there exclusively and have the bulk of the wealth in the country.

And worse, because of the nature of the drug trade, you can easily form your own cartel so long as you have the guns, training to use them, and will to power to destroy via any means necessary, rival cartel groups who's territory you take over once you massacre them off. To the point that it's a running joke that many cartels in Mexico are former military squad units/platoons who were sent in to kill off small time cartel groups only to go rogue and hijack control over said cartel groups once they killed off the leadership castes if not outright forming their own and gaining their territory/drug supply connections by killing local rivals with their superior military backed might.

To properly purge the cartels from Mexico, you'd need to A. Fix the corrupt as fuck Mexican government and economy that basically makes drug dealing a viable way to make a living and B. pull a Colonel Kurtz and scorch earth massacre every single cartel member/associate in the country, at which point you'll inevitably turn the people AGAINST you even if you manage to pull off the first thing (IE fixing the Mexican government).

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) continues to experiment on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) as it is currently working on a phase of a project that focuses on domestic wholesale CBDC use cases in collaboration with local banks and fintechs.

This project comes in line with several central banks CBDC initiatives across the globe and as part of SAMA's ongoing research and experimentation on CBDC. During this phase of the project, SAMA seeks to explore CBDC economic impact, market readiness, and potential robust and fast applications of a CBDC-based payment solution. In addition, SAMA seeks to review policy, legal and regulatory considerations before moving to the next phases of the CBDC journey to contribute to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Governor of SAMA H.E. Fahad Almubarak stated that local banks and payment companies will always be a cornerstone of this project and its implementation, SAMA stated that it has engaged both local banks and fintechs, as well as other market players and third party consulting and technology providers, to gain a better understanding of CBDC's functionality and to test various design options.

SAMA is set to continue with its research on CBDC while consulting with relative international bodies, local government entities and public. Additionally, SAMA will continue to experiment on CBDC solution as an infrastructure enabler of innovation in financial services that has the potential to contribute to a more resilient payment ecosystem and accelerate digital transformation in the local financial sector.

SAMA stresses that although no decision has been made regarding the introduction of CBDC in the Kingdom, it continues to focus on exploring the benefits and potential risks of implementing CBDC. This will contribute to informed decision-making within SAMA and to CBDC explorations within the central banking community.

It is worth noting that SAMA successfully conducted CBDC experiment "Project Aber" in 2019, an initiative in collaboration with the Central Bank of the UAE to examine whether distributed ledger technology could contribute to seamless cross-border payments.
