Do we really know she shits herself regularly? I know it's in the OP and often joked about, but I only ever saw one reference to it. Have I missed her saying it frequently? And even if she has said this multiple times, that doesn't mean it's true.
That's why I had excluded the purewick. We know she shits herself on a regular basis. Would they still use it on someone like that?
If so, I consider myself properly schooled. This makes me think I need to put in some shifts at the hospital to get up to date. Being a community clinician is making me soft. Your excellent write up is appreciated.
Oh yeah. They use Purewicks on the urine and fecally incontinent. You're just supposed to change it if it gets soiled.

I know it's really up to the nurses and they're the ones doing the hard stuff dealing with Chelsea, but if she can type comments on her phone, she can wipe herself clean. However, I think Chelsea wants diaper rash. She wants to be a victim. Also having a Purewick allows nursing to know her output exactly, because if she toilets herself, you know she will dump it out. She needs a sitter.

I'm suspicious that she "cracked" the J-tube itself while in hospital in order to try and force them to give her the G-tube she really wants. It would be her absolutely best bet, even though it is highly unlikely, they'll just replace the J-tube.
Another things about her story that doesn't add up is that if that is her urine, and she is dumping myoglobin from rhabdomyolysis as a result of seizure activity or SPS they would be giving her the meds to counteract that, regardless of whether she has MCAS or not. They'd just premed her out the ass before hand with everything they've got if they had to so she could get the correct meds given the permanent organ damage that would occur from rhabdo. An MCAS exacerbation is of far less importance than stopping irreversible organ damage. I'm doubting its med related since the meds that she would actually take that could cause brown urine (phenytoin, methocarbamol, senna, etc...) don't make it that dark, even at higher dosages.

This is an out there theory that is based on guesses that surely are not true: If she got ketamine syrup in her JT, whined about too much flush so they wouldn't go too heavy with it and squalled in pain, she could suck it back up with a syringe, and push through her line. Might break a few extensions.

A screenshot of her sister's Facebook from earlier showed that the family is willing and apparently able to provide her with the drugs she "needs". So even if she is totally cut off from ketamine by her doctors, she evidently has ways of getting it unofficially.
It still blows me away, I can't imagine giving something like ketamine to my sibling because they asked. If it was insulin or something that is truly needed, I'd do it without even being asked. But this is a tranquilizer, not a life saving medication.
