Ami is the most sane parasocial vtuber that I know. On Twitter/stream chat/discord(except DM's) she replies or likes while being friendly to everyone. She really has a trad mom vibe. The sad part is that I think this is a parasocial thing, she rarely talks about IRL stuff and when she does is family related.

Later today on her discord a guy tagged her in something there(I won't search for a lot of messages), which is against the rules, a mod called him out and ami instead of ignoring or not replying said to the mod that it was OK and interacted with the guy.

I think she's too attached to Streaming and she would feel sad if she couldn't anymore(for example some BS from tsunderia contract)

I say a lot or cursed things on almost every vtuber(pippa, 10ma, lumi, nyaru and more) but Ami is the only one that I can't and feel bad for doing it.

I'm a retard and forgot about the "gonna do my PPP impression" joke - I'm with you that the way it played out was very telling.

For context, there used to be a joke among the talents and managers that PPP only ever communicated through reaction images. A few months ago, it felt quirky and funny. It certainly doesn't feel that way any more, and that's a big part of why the "PPP impression" followed by an empty chat message was such a downer.

I dont know if some people will just see vt go crazy over something and take the opposite position on principle or what. You can take the male aspect out of the Lia drama and its still weird and unprofessional to interrupt your stream to talk to someone you know irl that your viewers dont.
Edit: I think the context does make it worse, but in general its just a mistake she made that she will likely learn from and people will move on in a few days.

I mean look at it this way: could you imagine a major band like, I don't know, Def Leppard, interrupting a major concert for the lead singer to answer his cell phone and talk to some random fan out in the audience and keep talking to them for 20 mins? It doesn't even have to be a paid concert. It could a charity concert, with any money given going to charity and they are otherwise performing for free. It would still be wildly unprofessional. Or Oprah interrupting a live taping of her show to talk on to one of the audience members and just have a personal conversation. There are just some things you don't do.

Agreed, I hope Lia lets it go and just thinks a little more about what/who she bring on stream and if it really adds anything to the stream. This guy though..... I bet there's more milk... he just looks like there would be more....

whoever is in charge if this editing though kind of sucks. mainly the music mixing. the switch up is so jaring. vshojo and nijisanji are so much better at promoting these types of things....

There's also a lot of people who just want to try and force a big yab to cause drama for their own entertainment
Ever since Rushia these have followed the same pattern

-a few weirdos cry about it

-people try to fan the flames, dramatubers and assorted grifters from all corners try to make content out of it

People are desperate to recreate the Rushia drama coming up to the anniversary
