This is a genuine question: if you were looking to this show to see if Nick could still conduct interviews and you think that he fell short, what do you think he could have asked instead or in what way could he have conducted it that would have changed your mind?
I dunno man, it just struck me as sloppy and unprofessional, I expected a shit show but that was cringe and fucking embarrassing, there's a big difference between Nick the drunken coomer and Nick from a few years ago, maybe he was always like this but he used to keep it together better.
He seemed incapable of reading a room, kept making the interview about him, and tbh taking dumbass coomer superchat questions was a waste of time and insulting to the guest and the listener.
Instead of asking him about fucking futas and shit maybe ask him to talk about how his experience has changed his outlook, he said he used to want to be a cop, but not now, he could have got him to elaborate on his thoughts about how he was treated by the legal system, the media, and even fucking politicians commenting on his case to score woke points. He's been over the night of the shooting ad nauseum by better interviewers by now, he should have maybe used the chance to get to know the human story behind it.
Another poster put it best, it's like Nick thought he'd be interviewing Kyle Rittenhouse the meme, and when it turned out he isn't the meme version of himself Nick had no plan, as usual, and just failed and fumbled and played to his retard chat again. Might be hard to see if you're a hardcore fan of Nick, but the impression he gives of himself when he does that is not flattering, he just looks like a vaguely creepy drunk.
It's hard really because Kyle is like a lot of people said, just a boring kid who found himself in an extraordinary circumstance, but he's not really that interesting, and with him still being involved in civil litigation there's a lot of shit he can't even talk about, but this is where a little show prep could have helped before hand so Nick knew what was off limits and not wasted time, instead he was his usual lazy ass self and you could tell he was pulling questions out of his ass on the fly.
Pandering to his retard coomer audience with their Balls or No Balls and futa shit just made him look like a drunk weirdo, and questions like "how's it feel to kill someone?" made him look like an asshole, like taking that Harris clowns dumb superchats as a legitimate question.
It was a shit show.
It's hard to say how it could be improved, because I don't think current coomer Nick is capable of anything better anyway.
