It's a term used by people who confuse needing to pay the bills with not having any morals. Calling someone a hack is a similar issue, like I would say a hack is someone who completely abandons their integrity when it suits them but most would use it to describe someone who made something they didn't like.Probably not the topic for this but...
I hate the misuse of the term "Sellout."
Like here's an example of what I usually see: "The first two Batman games by Rocksteady were great, but then they totally sold out for the third."
No, fuck you. If its a Batman or other major IP game, it DIDN'T "Sell out" because it never had any real purity or integrity to begin with!
The Scott Cawthon/Five Nights at Freddy's fanbase are just about the only people who use the term correctly, and even that's questionable.
