Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

I think we'll see a lot more than just a passing continuance like most people here seem to be expecting, but I don't think we'll be seeing Chris get out or anything like that. These hearings always end up being the last thing we anticipate.

One thing I can confirm though is that there'll be mass spergery of people claiming to know what happened and others asking for proof, until 2 hours on, someone finally takes the 30 seconds to call the fucking jail and ask (after two people claim to do so but don't record the call).

They could do anything from releasing him immediately, placing him in some home, revoking his tard card, or more likely, just continuing things like they are now.

I wouldn't trust anyone who says the jail told them what happened unless they personally work there. The case is sealed, so pretty much the only way we're getting an update is Chris saying something. You can't just call the jail or court and ask them what happened in the hearing anymore, Heilberg got tired of the weens.

If Chris is released or sent to a group home VINELink will send out text messages to a bunch of people here. I received texts a few minutes after 7:00 AM EST on January 18 and January 26 about this hearing.

If Chris is simply judged fit to stand trial and returned to jail, I will find that disappointing. I don't like having someone held in jail for years without a real trial or even plea deal or bail. Virginia and the US in general needs a better system than that.

I don't really think it's an issue because from what I understand Chris could have requested an expedited trial at any time but his defendant has been looking for alternatives that require various assessments which take time, plus with Covid there's backlogs and increased wait times everywhere.

Well? How similar are you?

I’m actually confused by this continuance. This was just put on the schedule within that last couple weeks, so presumably someone requested it and thought it was necessary. I’ll be interested to see if a new, near-future date shows up soon or if the one year date stays
