Imo, it would be a mistake for comicsgate to attempt to allign with DW over Venti, Quartering, Rikeita etc because comicsgate is ultimately an internet movement that came out of the seeds of gamergay and prior laughing at tumblr shit. DW and all of them are big politics buisnesses and they've gotten too overextended and greedy. It's important to choose the correct alliance, or at least stay very friendly with the internet crowd.

Almost. They were turned away after launching a legal GFM in her defense after the original creative team filed the lawsuit, not the funding of the comic of itself. There were a few reasons why. 1: After the Waid lawsuit and the Vic lawsuit and how those turned out, asking the same audience to open their wallets another time was a huge ask. 2: While Martina eventually won the case, it was on the basis of jurisdiction and not the merits of the case (or lack thereof). Had it actually gone to a courtroom she might have been fucked on account of "publishing" the unpaid script of Christopher Spiedel on an ill-considered Commie Mark livestream to show the backers that she was justified in firing them. 3: At the point she launched the GFM, it had been three years since Lady Alchemy launched and there was zero progress on the comic. Also her groyper creative team was suing her. All in all it didn't inspire confidence in lending more support. I thought the groypers' story had holes in it you could drive a truck through and I still didn't think the comic was likely to materialize, win or lose.

Perhaps emboldened by Musk's loss of $200B last year, Anna feels very strong about Venti & Quartering prevailing here. The "normies" don't stand a chance, according to Anna.
