This is actually my personal stance- I couldn't give less of a fuck about what a creator says/does, but if theres solid proof that they're a sexual predator or child abuser I won't consume anything they created or give them any more of my money. That's my only line. People can have their own boundaries, but it's not gonna stop me from making fun of them if it's ridiculous. They can make fun of mine, but I just won't give a fuck. So Rowling could literally say "ooga booga niggers are monkeys" and I would still buy and play Hogwarts Legacy. Especially when she's doing shit like this:

Yep. They think they are the most opressed and most important group in existence and the rest of the world must kiss their asses on a daily basis and never ever do something they don't like. And since it's your responsibility to validate their insane beliefs they can tell you to not play a wizard game because the wizard author is bad and everyone involved is also bad and wants to kill trannies.

I adore this and my respect is skyrocketing, she's doing the Lord's work in exposing these "this never happens" cases to the normies who follow her. Someone (I think on this forum, I'm not 100%) said something that resonated with me that JK would probably agree with, and it's a simple sentiment that induces so much seethe:

They care about this because it directly affects them or they think they can claim it does. It's not about the "crime," its' extent or victims. It is all about them.

They're mentally stuck in childhood. That's why they don't want to read anything else and go to the extent of hiring someone to rebind the book and take Rowling's name off of it.

Yes, people need to remember that this isn't really about Rowling, or what she has said or done individually. It is about trying to sustain a particular form of social shaming. TRAs attempted to construct a society-wide apparatus in which any dissent from gender orthodoxy meant social death and career suicide. Crushing all dissent is important for TRAs, because as soon as any dissent becomes socially acceptable, you get a preference cascade and their imposed power starts to evaporate. They can sense this, even if they don't recognize it consciously.

And they tried it on Rowling as well. This is from 2020:

The hashtag backfired, and a bunch of British authors signed an open letter in support of her and condemning the threats. And she continues to write best-selling books. It's the first time they really ran into someone who was too big to cancel. And things have not gone better for them since then.

Still, they are holding the line in their online circles. There are plenty of places where MtFs in particular still enjoy the power to crush dissent and act however the fuck they want with no consequence. That's why policing the silly wizard game is so important. If people are permitted to play the Bad Game without harassment, others in their circles might see that and start getting ideas about what opinions they are allowed to associate with. TRAs have to send the message that anybody--especially any woman--who does not bow down to the girldick will face consequences, no matter how powerful she is.
