That's not uncommon in domestic violence cases, either 'because he really loves me and wants to marry me', or because the money is going to dry up with the perpetrator in prison or because the victim is being threatened or paid off. Bottom line is, the prosecution doesn't just act on behalf of the victim but on behalf of the public. Doesn't make the case any easier, obviously, but it also doesn't mean that they're going to walk free.

It's early days as far as this case goes, and who knows what they're going to find while they're looking. You still have to take hair loss drugs after a transplant to stop the exisitng and replaced hairs from falling out. One of the main side effects is impotency, however. If he started losing hair again then it is likely he wasn't being diligent.
