One thing to bear in mind though: she’s already a single mother. Ralph:
- is incapable of any kind of physical activity

- is constantly boozed up or drugged out
-has isolated her, both both physically and relationally, from everyone who could help or support her through early motherhood

Ralph is essentially her dependent. I bet the total effort Ralph has put into raising that kid is less than the effort Pantsu puts into taking his coffee orders and bringing him drinks while he is on stream.

Did they really get kicked off the plane? If so, that was probably the last straw. Plus they're in New York (ie. close to her family's home iirc?). She probably just said "fuck this" and decided to go home.
