Dumping your partner on a plane does seem to be coming into style, saw a video of that happening earlier this week, and expected all the comments to rag on him. But they were all praising it as a smart idea because there's witnesses, security and no weapons. He probably isn't eligible for a refund if he got on the plane but then got kicked out. People typically only receive refunds if they miss a flight because of reasons out of their control, even then they usually are simply given tickets for the next flight to their original destination. The Gunt's vacations fund is spent.
