There's a name for this behaviour, though I can't remember what it is right now. A sort of confession of guilt by expansion of the scope of a statement to include himself as part of the target of the statement. Collectivising his identity, in order to mitigate personal guilt, by expanding that guilt to the whole. I'm going out on a limb here and assuming that "nicola" is, in fact, a violent duplicitous rapist, who just hasn't found the right person to consent accident yet.

I don't know why the loony troonies give a shit about the new HP game. Warner Bros said like, time of announcement waaaay back, she had nothing to do with it. I actually think apart from being right about troons, most of JKR's opinions are appalling. Does that make me boycott her? No, she's entitled to her own thoughts. Like others up thread I feel uncomfortable about supporting genuinely terrible people. But I don't get disgusted by their work or anything.
