Why is there a middleaged troon skating very poorly in the middle of some kind of ceremony?!?

They pretty much say outright that they're going to have some shitty skaters in the opening, lol.
I actually think that's fine - it's pretty common with this kind of thing to invite some local amateurs to do something like that, and nothing wrong with showing that you can still have fun skating even if you can't do a quadruple loop or whatever - but that clip posted is very, very funny. Even better that he was saying it took him years to get to that level, when he looks like he just stumbled on the ice for the first time. It would be cute if it were some little kids invited on, or even some old ladies, but a middle aged troon is just embarrassing. Very funny though.
