They probably did have a Google Doc prepared in readiness for this inevitably happening though. For all we know that could be Ralph posting that then texting Meigh "look at our family I posted. I want that back" etc. I haven't seen any proof of her being back. I'd say they almost definitely are not in Rome.
The version Ralph is trying to spin is "we created some drama, got on a flight to Rome and landed with 10000 lbs of seethe to laugh at." Except the flight disruption matches with his original tweets. The missing horse is the real key to the situation now.
